I am trying to update my Nexus 7 tablet however it keeps telling me my software is up to date.

I am still on Android 4.1.1. How do I get the latest update?

Updates are usually staggered, so you'll eventually get it over the air.

If you want to manually upgrade there are guides available.

Yeah, it's not showing yet on mine either.

As the images have been posted you can do a manual update as said above if you really can't wait for the OTA.

I'm not massively bothered though, as long as the OTA comes through in the next day or so.

I see from this article it is a US update first. You might have to wait a bit for the UK update.

Is this the same update I can get on my galaxy s2?

    jelly bean is 4.1

the nexus is currently running 4.1.1 and will be upgraded to 4.1.2 the latest version of jelly bean.

the S2 is currently running ice cream sandwich version 4.0.4

so when the S2 is upgraded to JB it will probably be to 4.1.2 but this is a minor upgrade to the nexus and a big one for the s2.

I got the update on my Nexus 7 today. Its handy having the home screen and App drawer in landscape mode.

Put it on my N7 last night.

If you are still waiting force close the Google framework app and clear data. Then check for update again :)

Don't panic ..... it doesn't seem to wipe anything.

The only change I've spotted is the obvious home screen rotation change.

Yeah I'm in the same boat, guess we will get it next week at some point.

See my previous post. It genuinely works if you are desperate for the update. No rooting required and no negative impact.

Settings - apps - all ....... find "Google services framework". Force close then clear data.

Then go to settings and check for the update again. Viola !

I upgraded mine manually, but it is a bit of a fiddle, at least until you get all the software installed on your PC - including some pesky USB drivers that don't come with the SDK.
