Secret showing on the 25th
The last one seemed a bit deflating to a lot of people given the hype surrounding the showing. They look to be really pulling out the stops for this one even going so far as to brand it a "world exclusive". If we're lucky it could be something like American Hustle.
The only films I can think of that aren't/haven't played at festivals between now and then are The Hobbit 2, American Hustle and Anchorman 2. And it won't be that rubbish looking Walter Mitty film cos that's on the following week
Any other ideas as to what it could be? I can't help but think they're doing this as a sort of apology for Now You See Me, they're even giving us all free chocolate.

Or how about The Harry Hill Movie? No maybe not!
If it was Harry Hill i would walk out, and i imagine quite a lot of others would too!
Apparently the film is a 12A, so that should narrow it down a little bit. I can't see it being The Hobbit though, not three weeks before release, these Unlimited screenings are usually something that is coming out the following week. I also can't see it being Anchorman 2, mainly because i think that will be a 15 (there's cocaine use in one of the trailers and the BBFC have rated that trailer 15).
I think that's exactly why it WILL be Walter Mitty, cos they've already got an exclusive deal for early screenings (official UK release is Boxing day).
Plus it's even got the word "secret" in the title.
Could be Grudge Match.
Saving Mr. Banks has already been given a PG, but a PG-13 by the MPAA.
The first Anchorman was a 12A, so it's possible the second one might be as well (but I doubt it)
Very possible
2 well known actors
and no festival screenings before 25th november
Wouldn't mind it being that
Are there going to be clues like last time?
from the email
"Clues to the mystery title may occasionally be revealed on our social media pages, so to get ahead of the game join our Cineworld pages on Facebook and Twitter."
Although last time they just kept the clues as open as possible
Someone asked the Sheffield Cineworld twitter feed if the film was Carrie, but the person who controls the account replied that it couldn't be Carrie as that is rated 15 whereas the secret screening is a 12A.
That's just for one of the trailers, the BBFC haven't classified the full film yet. Like i said though, one of the trailers has received a 15 rating due to cocaine use so unless this scene is cut from the final film it's highly likely that the full film's rating will be 15.
The first Anchorman was a 12A but the uncut version that is out on DVD/Blu Ray is rated 15 (mainly due to the scene where Ron keeps saying the F word).
It features 6 uses of the f word, the BBFC generally considers 4 uses to be the maximum at a 12, but several films with 5 or 6 uses have been allowed, because 5 of them appear in a short burst, and all of the f words are in a comic context, rather than being used aggressively, they could probably get a 12 if resubmitted (and there'd be a very strong case for an appeal if they didn't)
The Anchorman 2 trailer was not rated 15 because of swearing it was rated 15 because of "Drug Use" which is not acceptable at 12A due to kids aged 7 etc.
I wouldn't pay attention to the trailer, trailers are rated harshly due to the fact you can pick a film, but you can't pick the trailers one of the Ted trailers got an 18, the film is a 15...
And drug use is permissible at a 12A, in fact the BBFC are soft on drugs compared to the IFCO, recent films, such as The Social Network, Now is Good and The Perks of Being A Wallflower, and episodes of TV series, such as Wilfred (US) and Suits, have been classified at a 12 despite drug use and being aimed explicitly at children. In fact the first Lord of the Rings, features Gandalf smoking what he calls "the finest weed in the valley" and that was passed at a PG.
You probably wouldn't get away with cocaine though, but if it was implied rather than shown and had clear negative consequences, you might be able to.
Although to be fair, I imagine they're aiming for an R rather than a PG-13 in the US, so they'll have ramped up the swearing and sex references...
We are both kind of half right.
Mitty is released officially in the UK on Boxing Day but Cineworld have world exclusive showings of it on Mon 2nd December.
And as for the certificate, nothing is set yet so i'm still putting my money on Mitty for the secret screening.
I'll await gasps of amazement at my genius on the 26th Nov
The cocaine use is presented in a comical fashion, although based on the trailer it doesn't look like they portray it in a negative light (you also see them snort it), infact it seems as though the characters are enjoying it, so I'm almost certain that it'll be a 15 based on that.
Went to see Gravity today and they really were selling the film with a 10 minute(yes 10minute) trailer,a personal message from Ben Stiller to Cineworld customers and an on screen caption advising that Cineworld will be showing the film a month before other cinemas.
You heard it here first!
Having now seen that ad twice in the space of a few days...I really hope it isnt that film!
I know!
It looks a decent film but with the length of that trailer I feel as though I have already seen it!
It won't be a 3D film, at least it won't be the 3D version anyway, many people hate 3D plus some people can't see 3D films due to sight problems etc.
