Going outside of the 'established' norm; and pretty unusually for me for otherwise normally being completely uninterested in the genre; I really love brief top 20 hit 'All Cried Out' by Allure from the late 90s, an earnest attempt by a female r'n'b group to recreate the 'big black soul ballad' of the 80s which succeeds, wonderfully.

Another big r'n'b soul throwback screecher I love is of course En Vogue's persistently popular smash 'Don't Let Go (Love)'.

Thanks for the compliment! If only most of my friends thought the same!!! Your additions were high calibre as well, particularly the Roberta Flack selections. I used to play both of those routinely at my gigs when I was DJing. Out of interest, did you ever hear the cover version of "The Closer I Get To You" by Luther & Beyonce? Roberta and Donny win my vote every time but I was impressed with the cover.
