No. But she is in a position of probably knowing what is happening, i.e. through the children etc. that is perhaps why they were tweeting /baiting her. She should have kept stum bearing the cc in mind.

Exactly...."probably"....as no one knows....who knows what.

He posed for that PR stunt with Emily near the end of June. KP tweets that tweet on the 14th July.

PA knew then that Emily was pregnant, and after that photo so did anyone who was interested, including all the media.

To give an opinion is fine, but that doesn't make it fact.

And also the fact that whatever big secret he had was pretty much a baby or marriage as he has nothing left to sell.

He banged on about his big secret, yet most people with a brain had already worked it out as this man hypes everything personal. I found it a bit of a disappointment that the man is so predictable, he could have easily come out as gay, that would have been more of a shock
I dunno! Jordan is quite the faghag!;)

Katie confirmed the pregnancy of Emily.
If Emily (or Pete) had confirmed KP's pregnancy before she did, would that be alright then? As long as it was being asked? Of course not. This is a no brainer. You don't out someone else's pregnancy.

Katie released the news of her pregnancy without doing a pathetic publicity stunt hoping to get a mag deal ... Peter knew exactly what he was doing and as he hasn't complained about Katie's tweet ( which he would do normally) I don't see the big deal

i cant see the big deal if im honest and im not a fan of either of them really, they are both as bad as each other with the media but like you said,Petey knew exactly what he was doing in that picture with Emily, the seed was planted well and truly then i don't understand why he then denied that Emily was pregnant after the photo but also tell the kids so they would obviously tell their mother when he wanted to keep it so quiet hmmmm...

But it wasn't her business to discuss it,it's between peter and emily, not her.As we now she doesn't like her privacy being breeched,i hope peter kept the tweet to show to the court.

People who were present when the photo was taken described it as 'a fleeting moment' and that Pete and Emily looked 'totally loved-up and besotted' all evening. So I'm not certain whether it was a pre-planned pose or just an instinctive gesture from Pete which the camera caught. No argument that they did later use the speculation the photo caused to feed into the #petesgotasecret campaign or that it was completely predictable that Katie wouldn't be able to resist tweeting the news so I doubt Pete was too bothered and I can't work up much indignation over it either.

For all the talk that they're having the baby for publicity purposes or to compete with Katie, so far there's only been one brief confirmation in his column and on his channel. He hasn't tweeted about the news other than to thank people for their good wishes and neither has anyone from CAN as far as I've seen. We'll have to see whether that continues but for certain posters on 'the other thread' to hang, draw and quarter Emily on the basis of what they think she might do seems unfair and unpleasant to say the least, especially as she's conspicuously chosen not to participate in interviews up to now which I'm sure isn't from lack of offers.

Personally I'm thrilled for them because I think they're a lovely couple with a genuine connection and the most likely sticking point was how long it takes to complete medical training. I'd find it understandable if Pete was concerned about leaving it until his fifties to have more children, particularly as his parents are elderly. If Emily only had herself to think about I'm sure she wouldn't ideally choose to have a baby at this point but in the context of them as a family unit I think there are good reasons. Pete's still young & fit, his parents are still around to enjoy being grandparents and there isn't too big a gap between the baby and J&P. It will be more challenging to resume her training at a later date but it's what you do when you love someone and want to spend your life with them. Most importantly she's an intelligent girl and it was her choice to make, I'm sure she wasn't pressured into it and I'm convinced we won't see regular photo shoots of this baby splashed all over the media. If I'm proved wrong I'll happily hold my hands up but in the meantime I'll leave you all to it :)

I haven't once said she is having this baby cos KP is ... But I do think Peter knew exactly what he was doing when he put his hand there the way he did... He is 100% media savvy
I have already wished them well with their baby..it's just ashame some of those who detest Katie can't do the same... Some of the things I've read about her pregnancy have been disgraceful.
Can I ask a question...why would Peter be in his 50s before they could have kids if Emily continued her training...he is 40 and it wouldn't take 10 years surely for her to qualify completely

I'm suprised they told the kids so early in the pregnancy when there is no need to... Surely it's best to wait until after the 3/4 months stage

Perhaps they didn't want them to be told by anyone else first as it sometimes happens someone in the know slips up and lets it out.

We didn't tell anyone until after 12 weeks just incase anything happened

Not that I care when any of them announce anything since it's all for attention but didn't KP announce hers much earlier?

Seems they're both as bad as each other.

Just ignore the lectures. That's what I do. Most of them miss the point by a mile so you won't be missing anything enlightening. ;)

Not sure how early she announced it to be honest as we don't have a date for birth.. But I do agree..

So if anyone doesn't want to do what you did, it doesn't automatically mean they are in the wrong, just different

I thought you were one of the more open minded level headed posters lexi, you wrote some very good posts when I popped in on this thread before so it is sad if you feel differently now.

Sorry Betty wasn't aiming that specifically at you, and also didn't intend it to come across as a lecture, Ripmy, just trying to offload my thoughts in one go. I agree there are unpleasant posts about Katie too. I've been critical of how short a gap there was between being engaged to Leo and then pregnant and married to Kieran who she barely knew. Posters have every right to express their opinions on Pete and Emily so long as they're within T&Cs and it's up to individuals whether they want to read and respond or just avoid the threads altogether. On the training issue, it depends on what she intends to specialise in but it's always going to be difficult to decide what's the best point to take a career break. She could have finished training and then wanted to have some experience under her belt before having a baby. My elder brother is a doctor and left it to his forties to start a family and now regrets it. I was just speculating that if the baby was planned they would probably have come to the decision looking at the family situation as a whole. It could have been a 'happy accident' but as they've been together for quite a while without that happening it seems unlikely to me especially as it coincides with a natural break in Emily's training.

I think this baby was a "happy accident" and I hope everything goes well for them.... The reason I say this is because recently he talked about taking things slowly and that Emily would be moving closer to him...not that they would live together...

Gilliedew, I'm merely pointing out that in my experience of these threads, the lecturers tend to ignore the main issue being discussed and instead focus on a point that no one is actually bothered about - otherwise known as deflection - and start berating posters completely out of context. I could give examples (there's a prime one on one of the current threads at the mo) but it would just end up in another round of  and  and  and it would all become too exhausting.

My pointing out a fact - and it is a fact - doesn't negate my being open-minded and level-headed. :)

Fair enough Betty, unless they elaborate it's hard to know for sure one way or another. Doesn't matter much to me so long as they're both happy and like you I hope all goes well. Cheerio now :)
