Calling all film-makers! This is a great opportunity to share your work!

The international film submission for the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival 2013 is now open.

Our annual open film submission gives film-makers the opportunity to showcase their work and share ideas with audiences at our International Film Awards ceremony. We are committed to finding and celebrating the work of film-makers who explore mental health in film, so if you have a film or film project that links to mental health, then we want to hear from you.

In its broadest sense ‘mental health’ is a term which touches most aspects of our lives. We want to encourage films which explore all aspects of mental health. Films can address specific mental health issues, but we’re also keen to encourage innovative and diverse perspectives.

Previous winning submissions have looked at topics such as moving home, ageing, grief, loss, endurance, support, friendship, equality, sport, music, childhood as well as films about specific diagnoses or conditions. We accept films of any length and genre, and films made at any time, as long as they haven’t been previously submitted to us.

Entry is free. The closing date for entries is Friday 14th June 2013.
