Hi,
Thanks to those for recommending the Dell Inspiron 530 a few years ago. My Dell is now giving up so should I go for a laptop or look for another tower.
Budget is Max £600 and I already have a screen (Samsung 21 inch). Not really into gaming but nephews are. Not requiring a bundle as I have a printer. Just want a fast machine.
Any suggestions?

Decide if you want potability. If yes, then go for a laptop if no then a desktop
Portability isn't needed.
OK - desktop it is?
Any recommendations?
None what so ever! LOL Never actually bought a desktop as I have always built mine own.
Thank you for your help, you should have put a grammar check on it.
I've had three Dell desktops (one at work, two of my own) which have been good. They don't do many nowadays though.
BTW amongst other factors you'll also need to decide between Windows 7 and Windows 8.
make sure you get an intel Ivy bridge 3rd generation processor
Preferably go for self or custom built PC tower if you dont need portability.
As for your nephews and gaming, you're looking at something like £800 (without a new monitor, keyboard, mouse) if you want to play any game with good quality results, if they arnt bothered about playing new graphically intense games (facebook app's especially) such as Battlefield 3, then dont bother reading from here:
Gaming PC (mid-high spec):
processor: Intel Core i5 3570k £160 + fan £20
motherboard, £80
8GB RAM DDR3. £30
harddrive £40
DVD drive, £20
Windows 7 or 8 home premium, 64 bit, £100 full version
Nvidia 660 Ti £230
tower case £40
600watt power unit £60
If you really shop around you can get it a little cheaper than that, like some shops offer deal bundles, you'd be lucky to get all that for £600.
