Whilst there may be nothing original in this
series.I find it amusing as an hour of sheer
    escapism.Entertainment,is what it is!
So you don't like it,do what I do with other
programmes,go and watch a DVD or another
    channel.....

    Brilliant, Brilliant, absolutely Brilliant.

I haven't laughed so much in ages.

I love the references to my home town, visual, spoken, and the not so obvious.

Lots of in-jokes too for us Stopfordians.

Reminds me of school friends, and what we used to get up to !

What a cracking series so far.

I thought that was funny when they put Glynn`s name on the back of that shirt but they didn`t have enough letters so it said T**T.

Wrong style for the 16-34 demo and in the wrong slot.

That's the demo I'm in and it suits me just fine.

What slot should it be in?

I am really loving this show at the moment. A great piece of comedy drama.

I noticed that a lot of it is actually filmed in London as well as Stockport and Manchester.

Loving this show too - especially when Ricky Tomlinson said someone told him to put chocolate in the chilli so he included a curly wurly and a bit of kit kat and then the bit when he asked who cut the pork pie in sections for Glyn's birthday and he decided to cut into quarters - very Jim Royle.

I said in an earlier post Ricky isn't pushing the boundarys of his acting skills, but it's funny.
    It's a version of Ricky/Jim Royle.

Oh nice spot of Sue Deveney (sp) by another FM, it's full of pretty steady (youngish) hands you've seen on lots of other things over the years, I don't know most of their names though.

Glyn's new mate has asked for 'proper' orange juice.

    He won't last long.:D

Would anyone happen to know which cinema was featured in this week's episode. Looked rather stunning.

I'd be all over Izzy/Bev, loon or not.
I wonder where the Lexus/job is this week.

Too many gags to comment on.
I thought Begsie's Mum was 'sorting herself out'

It's a 3rd rate Early Doors. Make that 5th rate.

What is wrong with Bev? Why is Beggsy so appalled at the thought of dating her?

Stuck with it for a couple of weeks and glad I did...tonite was just brilliant; great pace, soft gags but utterly watchable. More please

First time i've properly watched it...was an amusing hour. Always a bonus when a show is set in manchester, even when it's the wrong side of town.

Yeah there are scenes in a pub and it's set in the North.
The parallels with Early Doors are overwhelming.

That's a 3rd rate attempt at criticism, no make that 5th rate.

Why don't Fray Bentos pies have pastry on the bottom, are you supposed to eat them from the can or something, I don't get the lack of pastry.

Superb episode. I'd happily go on a date with Isy Suttie (Bev) - if she was free :D

I wouldn't say it's better as it's not just set in a pub.
Very different in tone, Early doors wasn't gag, gag, gag like this.
No reason to play compare/contrast as they've so different from each other.
That's why I thought that post I responded to was so low rent.
