Since I am playing Deadly Premonition...I recommend it... Have you ever played a game that everyone says is shite but you have liked or something that has been so bad it's actually good?
E.T. is never good, you hear...NEVER good!:p

Anyway, certainly lots of ST and Amiga games were so bad they were good, Rogue Trooper on the ST springs to mind. Loved it but it was a pap game.
ET was practically unplayable! Damn, that game was terrible!
I agree I am enjoying it
Summarised by the fact there is one mission where you have to stop a bus filled with passengers before the crazed driver drives it off a bridge. Played it with mates and we tried EVERYTHING - shooting the bus a little, attempting to take out the tyres, ramming the bus, driving in front of the bus to slow it down, trapping the bus, spinning the bus. Nothing worked, so reluctantly we turned to a walkthrough. The way to stop the bus was to turn on your sirens
And that is why it is the greatest game ever made.
If you can see past all its issues its a very enjoyable experience.
Yeah, The Saboteur was awesome, probably the best game this generation that nobody played

The sound effects alone were cringeworthy, but it was strangley addictive.
Earth defense force 2017 - You want a 3D game with 2D pickup's? You got it. Seriously this was the greatest B movie game not only to feel like one, it also tried it's hardest to look like one. But probably one of the most fun games I have ever played esp offline co op with a friend and if you were to ask me why I honestly couldn't tell you
Asuras wrath - If a storyline thats as mad as a bag of spanners gets you messing yourself with delight then this is your game. Bats**t bonkers and more QTE events than you can shake a stick at
But my fav is Frogger on my trusty ZX81... no fully rendered amphibians here, just a letter M, in black and white. Yet being probably one of a hand full games ever made for it I cherished it like a first born
This.
All a review is is some random dudes opinion. Nothing more.
Not really, gamers are sadly somewhat childish in understanding of reviews, they see it as all or nothing. A review is more of a guide to a game, an extended advertising pitch in some cases, and a brief summary for others.
Plus a review is useful for the games that are not sure bets either way. If I think a game looks interesting, I am not willing to put down £30 to find out if it is, so a review and perhaps a few youtube videos will help me understand if its worth a punt. If the review speaks about a buggy mess and a pretty boring game, I may avoid the game, perhaps picking it up in a sale when its not so bad to make a duff purchase.
I don't agree.
