We need to talk about Kevin - 810

Great direction and great acting. Characters a bit too one-dimensional in my opinion. I haven't read the book, but don't particularly want to go back to such a dark place to find out if those characters are more developped in there!

Dirty Harry (1971) Clint Eastwood in one of his most famous roles as Inspector Harry Callaghan tracking down a serial killer terrorising San Francisco and finding the law is a major obstacle in his quest.

It's hard to imagine that Clint wasn't the original choice for the role - John Wayne, Paul Newman and Steve McQueen all turned it down and Frank Sinatra was due to play the part but had to leave due to an injury. Clint got the role and the rest is history.

    Silver Linings Playbook - 9/10

Such a lovely film. Jennifer Lawrence was a revelation. And the subject matter was done very realistically.

    Sightseers - 8/10

Was like a Julia Davis comedy, some parts had me howling with laughter. I prefered Kill List though, from this director.

    Seen two yesterday

The Place Beyond the Pines- very intense story with some great performances from Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling. 7.5/10

We Bought a Zoo- Wasn't expecting much from this, but it was one of the best family films I've ever seen. Well worth a watch and Matt Damon is superb again. 7/10
