I'm not particularly bothered by their drug habits, but what really pisses me off is that what is seen as a rather cool and smart middle-class thing to do at the end (or even during) a dinner party has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of people - a great many of whom were innocent bystanders -
in Columbia and Mexico over these past ten years. Cocaine makes billions for the drug barons, but if there were no demand for it, it would solve the problem at a stroke.
Perhaps for some people inexplicably, I think the only solution is legalising coke, heroin and the rest, It would punch a hole in the market overnight, give some means of regulation and SAVE LIVES. As for the users, let them stew in their own juice. As 1920s prohibition of alcohol in the US showed us, the only thing it achieved was to expand the activities of crims and gangsters no end and create a criminal problem they still haven't got to grips with. If we can handle the legalisation of alcohol - just another 'drug' at the end of the day - we should be able to legalise the rest.
The one big barrier to legalising all 'recreational' drugs is that it is a political no-no and no politico or party would go near it with a bargepole. But it is the only solution. And I must point out that I am making a pragmatic point, not trying to strike a blow libertarianism.
The study's lead author, Alejandro Hope, a former government intelligence official, said the seasonally adjusted decline seems to have flattened out in recent months, suggesting further gains may be hard to come by.
"The situation is improving at a very slow rate," said Mr. Hope. "My nightmare scenario is that we get used to 20,000 or 25,000 people getting killed every year."
At least 60,000 people were killed in drug-related violence during the six-year term of former President Felipe Calderón, who made the assault on organized crime a key goal of his government.
So much for the West's 'lifestyle choice' and the rest of the bollocks about 'my rights' and 'my choice'. I would have thought the first right is not to be butchered by drug gangs when you are in the wrong place at the wrong time and not be the price paid for self-indulgent, self-regarding thick f*ckwits to be able to exert their 'rights' to a 'lifestyle choice'.

What married, Academy Award nominated actress is involved in an affair with a married director from one of her latest films?

Ummm. Wow. Married, former A list singer. Wife not with him. Went straight for the drag queen at a party in the last few days. Did not leave his side once. Interesting.

This married A list television actor on a hit network drama told his wife that he had to work late on set. He was convinced she would be home with their sick child. So, he decided to go to the movies with an 18 year old production assistant from his show. As he walked into the lobby of the the theatre with his arm around the 18 year old, he gets tapped on the shoulder by who he assumed is a fan, but was instead his wife. He dropped his arm from the assistant and meekly walked out of the theatre with his wife. She has a spy on the set of his show to stop just this kind of behaviour.

Angel/Agent Booth
No surprise really.
He admitted the affair with the gay singer, (same first name as actress in 'Some Like it Hot').
Reveals, with no evidence, hmm. Not sure the point really.
Um... When do they ever do? Expect maybe years after the fact. Besides if it's all lies (and don't get me wrong a lot of CDAN and other sites are) That one about GOOP for example, if it's not true why don't they sue?

Nah, reveals on gossip sites used to show how it related to real stories, Blind Gossip used to do this all the time. With the news stories put next to it. Now even they don't do that. Just putting names next to the stories, aren't reveals to me.
The 1st Amendment makes it very hard to sue in the States, hence why most won libel cases are outside that country, and why DS are very big on us not repeating this stuff.
I'm actually starting to feel a bit sorry for Goop, none of this stuff has been proving, Yellow guy clearly doesn't believe any of it and the Vanity Fair "expose" looks to be spiked.
She's irritating, and people just seem desperate for these blinds to be true.
Very true. She's said nothing so far and those making the allegations aren't exactly trust worthy. I'm a bit suspicious that someone that busy with high level commitments could be that off their face at the same time.
I completely agree. The accusations are coming from alleged fraudsters supposedly supported by his email - which now turns out to be wittily sarcastic. The allegations are negated by his answers under oath. You can't be an addict for a decade and look gorgeous at that age and fully research and write impeccably a major book and film an excellent TV series a year. Also, you couldn't travel and film in the USA too and no one ever see any evidence.

Cocaine use admited in court today although amounts used downplayed , use undoubtedly admitted in damage limitation in advance of forthcoming secretarial evidence.

By admitting cocaine use, will she be prevented from entering the USA?
Just reading Nigella's evidence that she gave today. It seems very strange that she didn't just let the sisters go when they became slack. She describes one of them as a fantasist and the other as lazy, spending more time on facebook than working. Also why continue to employ somebody if this was the case:
The cook said that in around 2004 Elisabetta Grillo left their employment for a short while, and when she returned she was "bitter" and at times "not very kind to her children".
I think they'd been with her for a long time, particularly when her first husband was dying. You develop a certain loyalty to those who have been with you through hard times and it can be difficult to realise they aren't your friend anymore. It's not that surprising she kept giving them another chance.

Surely someone would tap his shoulder and say "I say old chap, you shouldn't really be doing that at this birthday party"? Or were they all ANIMALS?

The smilie :cool:looks like him as he's famous for wearing shades, supposed Irish rock god. Apparently he did a karaoke duet at the party with wide mouthed frog lady (ex PM's wife).
Haha at Major Not-Sharp, in his dreams I reckon, still stranger things have happened.

Hopefully not the little wizard boy. With 'heroic' in mind could be History Boy,(Mamma Mia's ex) or the little cheerleader girl that's marrying the boxer.

I thought that was Fulham's finest wizard as he's admitted to having a problem with drink. A bit obvious though.
Really hope it's not wizard boy... The cheerleader came to mind with the "heroic" comment, but not seeing how Mamma Mia's ex fits in?
I think I typed Heroic into google and it came up with stuff about World of Warcraft and he is due to star in the movie (my extensive research) he is also a child star.
Hooray, old smilies are back and some new ones.:kitty:
