We have 2 iPhone 5's in our house and I have to say that unless using it as a phone it's great
But why do they drop calls all the time ?
It's not just me (and the wife) is it ?

But yes the phone can play a part in it as well. There are phones out there with better radios that can hold a signal better than the iPhone. and vice versa.
The other thing that annoyed me was the call always seemed muffled. Same seems to apply with the 5 as when my dad calls me from his 5 its always rather muffled.
Ive owned various iphones now for the last 3-4 years (iphone 3G,3GS,4,4S, and not one of them has had any issues with making or receiving calls, for me they have been just as good as a phone as they have as a gadget
Yeah, i did think that but, it cant be since when we changed phones its never happened since yet it still happened on my fathers iphone
Now got the same iPhone 5 on EE and not had a problem.
Also off topic, but the call quality on EE is far better than Vodafone, and I don't mean HD Voice, bog standard call.
I would be waiting first till its actually out before giving that advice! It might be bloody useless!
I have no doubt you will borrow one it will be useless it will drop calls an be utter tosh. But everyone else will find it more than adequate.
Wow you had some bad luck with your iPhones didn't you, then again just looking at your posting history you had bad luck with your first nexus 4 you borrowed. But then you went an got one anyway an that one was fine.
Maybe your next iPhone will be fine aswell.
Not bad luck at all. Search google. It throws up many results of noise on calls.
There wont be a next iphone i can assure you. So if you looked at my posting history, what exactly did i say was wrong with the nexus i borrowed?......
EDIT:- in fact, i cant even find that post since the search history only goes back to the 18th of December...
But of course....
I would expect it happens now and again with any network but was a daily occurance with Voda. In fact there was many times I was working IN a voda site and get the above symptoms.
Mrs JP is till on Voda and gets the same, although to a lesser extent as she uses her phone as a phone far less than I do.
Back in a minute, just gotta go and thaw out hell.
For the first time in 14 years, when a customer with hosted Exchange asks for recommended smartphones, I won't have to say get whatever you like as long as its not a Blackberry.
No wonder they lost their way. Maybe this will now change.
Will it connect to Groupwise using the GWsync connector I wonder.
I have the same problem with my iPhone 5 on vodafone I might take it to the Apple shop the signal is ok its just it says Call Failed quite a lot
Sometimes it's just the way it is, but at least you tried the iPhone didnt like it and returned to Android. That's why choice is so good. Have you tried the Windows phones? I have a lumina 920 and its absolutely fantastic.
But there is always an argument on a thread with Apple or android mentioned
I think these problems are mainly network related and not really to do with the phone.
