It's a brilliant film. I've scoured the Christmas Radio Times for the past few years and I've never seen it available on terrestrial or freeview channels.
I've got this on DVD somewhere. I bought something from Play or Amazon and got it as a free gift.
Still haven't watched it. Infact it's probably still in the polythene!
Agree. I watched this for the first time last year and was bored rigid. Not quite sure why it's rated so highly and it seemed to go on just forever. When it comes to the quintessential Christmas film, Alastair Sim's 'A Christmas Carol' is the one to beat.
Despite what everyone will tell you about it being this amazing, ultimate feelgood, timeless classic of a film, it's actually a load of crap.
Go and watch Transformers if you don't like it as I'd imagine that's more your level. Ever thought that, if you're in the minority, your opinion might be worthless?

No, since every opinion is as valid as the next one - minority or not.
Have you ever considered that posting stuff such as this makes you sound smug and condescending?

And have you ever thought that if another poster disagrees with you, whether it reflects the consensus or not, his/her opinion is as equally valid as yours?
What a terrible, disrespectful attitude you have to other posters.

Thank you Barrie Norman.

Its better in its original black & white format

Pleasure. Glad to be of assistance. I wasted about three hours of my life watching this film. I urge others not to make the same mistake.
You'll enjoy it.
Agree 100%.....best film ever, everytime a bell rings an Angel gets its wings.
OMG!!!
AT LAST!! Someone who agrees with me! I wouldnt descibe IAWL as "crap" but over-rated??? Yes, yes, YES!!
Cant believe how people go all orgasmic over this movie.
Its alright, that is all. Never been a fave of mine and I do love the old black & white movies...

It's A Wonderful Life is a wonderful movie.
Now if you're talking about films to watch again and again a favourite of mine is A Matter of Life Death.
Black and white HERE

You're not alone. I loathe It's A Wonderful Life. Overrated, sickly mush - in my opinion. Give me Alastair Sim's 1951 Scrooge, any day.

If you have Sky Movies it has been on several times in the last couple of weeks and will most likely be on again before Christmas day
