Modern remake? It's hardly like Dangerous Minds was a classic from the 50s/60s. It's not even 20 years old yet.

Dangerous Minds is an incredible movie one of my fav's but there has been lots of movies that has been in that same mold!

I'm sure there will be another 'inspiration teacher' movie around Oscar season one year!

Detachment a similar kinda movie from last year but a lot less cheesey is worth checking out. Directed by the guy who made American History X

This time it can be a class of murderous serial killers who turn good because of a good looking sassy teacher who is a toughie but deeply cares.

It came out in the 90s so I see it as already sort of modern.

I don't see what they could possibly do with it to make it more modern. As another poster said it's not as though it was made in a time when everything was very different.

Dangerous Minds was in the same vein as To Sir With Love, or Blackboard Jungle, to name just a couple. Good film, but it doesn't really need a remake.
