Virgin Mobile Data Roaming issue

While out today, I've discovered some issues with going online using 2G/EDGE when using one of the two networks they now use.

So when I was waiting for a bus, Orange was showing 5 bars, yet I couldn't go online, yet I changed to T-Mobile which was showing 2 bars, I had no problem going online.
