I have been watching a review on You Tube and this guy says that he loves the hardware specifications but the only problem is that because of the resolution of the tablet all the applications are scaled up versions and therefore they don't fit on the screen correctl0 and not optimized for tablet versions. .
The Google applications are Ok but there are no support for third party applications such as Twitter and Facebook The applications are Scaled up.
If I get a Samsung Tab will the applications be Ok and can you update the tablet to Jelly Bean?
It depends on what apps, there are plenty that may be phone apps scaled up. But many are universal apps and work well on tablets.
Your best bet would be to pop into a John Lewis or Currys and have a play with one.
I have a Samsung Galaxy tab and it is a great tablet. I have also had access to the Nexus 7 and 10 for some time and both are also good.

Does anyone really find using cloud storage easier than an SD card? To me it seems like the answer to a problem that was not there. At least give users a choice.
Also I would not like to think that I was sending private photos to some unknown place.
I would advise you to get the 32GB if you can, reason being that a lot of modern apps (especially high quality games) are 1-2GB now.
The 32GB version actually only has about 27GB that is user accessible. I like keeping a lot of content and still have to delete stuff from time to time.
If you need plenty of storage - for apps, games, movies, TV shows then you should get the larger capacity 32GB version. Otherwise you'll need to store your content either on a computer or in the cloud, and only keep a few movies/shows/photos on the device.
It s now down to price and I am thinking of getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 but I need some testing
How is the cameras on the thing?
How is the WIFI access?
How is the sound and where are the speakers located?
What is the Android OS and what version is it

I have this tablet so I can answer most of the questions.
The camera (rear) is 3 mp. The picture quality is ok, providing that you have a lot of light as there is no flash. If picture quality
is really important to you then the camera on here won't do the job. However most cameras on tablets are not very good as primary cameras. The front facing camera is fine for Skype.
Wifi works well. It's never dropped the signal. I can still get a good connection in the back garden, on the other side of the house to the router, upstairs (router is downstairs). Basically I get a good signal all over the house. I can still get a faint signal halfway down my street. Streaming is good and smooth. It handles HD over wifi seamlessly.
The speakers are front facing. On the front bezel and locates towards the top. The speakers are very good, because they are front facing sound is not distorted. It's loud and clear. I also have an iPad mini and I had a nexus 7. The speakers/sound quality on the tab 2 is the best out of those tablets by quite some margin.
It runs jelly bean version 4.1.1
I upgraded mine in December but if you buy it now it comes with jelly bean 4.1.1 already installed.
If you have anymore questions I can answer them.
I think it's a good all round tablet for its price. I don't play a lot of games, just occasionally a bit of angry birds or battleships and it is fine for that. It's good for web browsing, checking emails, watching videos, music, apps etc.

What is the processor and RAM like. Is it jerky when watching a video, is listening to music good and how good is browsing the internet, opening apps etc

I have a Samsung 10.1 tab 2 and it's fairly quick at most things, certainly no lag when playing HD videos etc.
The screen doesnt seem as responsive or acurate touch wise as my Iphone or my parents Ipad mini but it does have a screen protector on it (for my 5 year old) so that my be why.
The only lag I get is with certain flash content online, e.g. flash games but thats not bad considering mobile flash is not officially supported anymore.
All in all it's not a bad device for the price, certainly not as good as an Ipad (in my opinion) but at nearlly half the price you cant complain, flash storage slot is a bonus as well.

I'd pretty much agree with this. I have an iPad too.

The galaxy tab 2 10.1 was officially updated to Jelly bean in December of 2012.
No storage card slot listed here: http://www.google.co.uk/nexus/10/
I think all the Nexus devices are designed for you to use cloud storage, so aren't expandable.
Also I would not like to think that I was sending private photos to some unknown place.

The Nexus 10 is excellent though!
They look absolutely fine, yet to find an app that doesn't.
I'll second that, all look fine on mine too.
I love my N10, had it since christmas. Apps are fine.
