Have tried varius other sites and their working ok..
Have treid .com .com/& .co.uk
A URL would be handy, otherwise we are just clutching at straws.
You may have just mistyped the URL in which case you can fix it by retyping it correctly. Otherwise, unless you have access to the websites files etc. you can't do much about it yourself. Trying different browsers and such like won't help. The file isn't there.
No. A 404 error reports a missing webpage, not incorrect login details. The page that she is trying to access is not there at the URL she is trying to access it from.
I wonder if it is a login form, and that the form is trying to login using /login.php?action=login or something, and someone has faffed around on the site and accidentally renamed login.php or used the wrong path in the form code... meaning it can't find login.php and brings up the 404 error.
Might be something completely different though, OP might not even be able to get to the form.
What I meant with the failed login, is that the user is redirected to another page (which is quite possible with a php-encoded site) which has gone awol for some reason, in which case a failed login will give a 404 error.
Logic flow:
login.php has form with username and password fields and a login button.
When user clicks the button, the username and password the user entered are checked against the database.
If valid -> go to good page
If not valid -> go to bad page.
