An old Macbook is probably going to struggle with Mountain Lion - depends on age, amount of RAM and whether officially supported by Mountain Lion - so milage may vary.
as above, you already have Snow Leopard if you have 10.6.8
depending on whether your hardware supports it, your options are 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion.
you will need to see if your hardware is within the supported specs.
if you need/want icloud support though then SL won't suffice.
I don't use iCloud. If I need cloud storage I use Dropbox. I mostly use it for my Android phone.
that's good for you, but some people want/need icloud support in the OS.
not required.
common sense should be enough to keep you safe.
Is a 'business' something dodgy and different from a normal business?
No, a 'buissness' is something altogether different (see post #10 for the original typo...)
LOL Didn't notice that!
I know they do, but I personally prefer Dropbox for cloud storage.
Yeah OSX has no security flaws .
So much stupid advice still comes from mac users.
This is also sidestepping around the fact that as a business you also have certain moral and legal obligations regarding data security.
