Have had the misfortune of watching a few this week of this particular show.
Has a lot of sob stories which the X-Factor would be proud off.
Most of all they get a new extension or new kitchen courtesy of the tax payer!
No run down houses though surprisingly, no ex council houses just nice middle class ones sigh!

I'm certain we all know that there are dodgy cowboy builders out there and it's essential to to seek advice and recommendations when you want work on your house doing. I'm pretty sure every local authority has a list of recommended tradesmen, and if they don't there are many other ways of getting a list recommended tradesmen.
If the programme wants to deliver a message to viewers it should name and shame the cowboys as Dominic Littlewood does in his similar programme, Cowboy Builders. It must be BBC policy not to name and shame as they did exactly the same when Clive Holland presented Cowboy Trap. If the BBC can name and shame in Watchdog why don't they do the same in this programme? Otherwise it's just a waste of Licence Payers money.
I fail to see what the point of this program is ???? just cheap TV IMO.
Mind you, as many of them are supposed to have been cleaned out by the cowboys in the first place..
Sounds a lot of fuss about nothing to me. Total over-reaction by the BBC on this; they've gone from one extreme to the other, now.
I'll say one thing, though. Although I was never Clive's greatest fan but Cowboy Trap is shite without him. That new presenter has no persona whatsoever and just makes the show boring.
Although he was sacked by Mentorn, I would hazard a guess it was at the behest of the BBC. He has also lost all his contracts with the BBC for other appearances.
I guess we'll never know - as we'll also will never know exactly why he was sacked in the first place.
I'm not sure who has the final decesion on this one. I would imagine it would be negotiated and amicable between the Beeb and Mentorn though.
