  I'd suggest that a recent update has allowed networks to control it.
  
  Maybe it is against the terms of your SIM contract?
  
  More likely it is just off by default in your Network settings via the update so just turn it back on.

  Still there on mine and I have applied the recent update. Maybe you could call Three and ask them?

  I have fully approved tethering contracts on both my Orange iPhone and my Three iPad.

  I realise this is an old thread now but I'm having exactly the same problem...on three network also. I'm certain they have turned the option off but not sure why as I'm on the one plan and am allowed to tether. Not a happy bunny today as I don't have broadband due to being able to tether from my iphone :mad:
