Y'know, why did you buy the game? Was it mainly for the single player/story mode or the online aspect?

Skewed poll to prove your point
I bloody knew this was the sort of response I'd get from this poll! What if the majority choose online? Would the poll still be skewed to prove my point?
I voted single player, but that doesn't devalue the online portion of the game to a "nice little sidebar" in my view. GTA Online is a big part of the package I bought. And I suspect it is for many other too.
If the majority chose 'online', would my poll still be skewed to prove my point?
I believe that to be the intention of the poll.
Only time will tell if this type of answer/request is in the majority or not. If it helps, I'll include your '50/50' answer in my poll summary.
You still have a voice!
So, if the majority did choose 'online', it would prove my point? Surely, it would prove the opposite? The poll isn't as skewed as you think.
Everyone bought GTA5 for the single player, its a proven winner based on past games. But that doesn't make the Online any less important. GTA Online is a big part of the package for me.
The poll asks people what the main appeal of GTA5 is and it will undoubtedly be the story mode because they are always awesome. Without an option for people to pick the full package you have to vote story, which I did.
BTW I am bored GTA is wonky tonight
Huh? You bought it on day one, knowing that the online bit wouldn't be available for approx. 2 wks?
So I could finish the story and be ready for online. How is that so difficult to see?
It's not difficult to see, it's just odd that you say the reason you bought it on day one was for the online aspects.
I always like to play single player before playing online. I knew with a game like GTA it would need more time than usual, buying it day one meant when online came around I wouldn't be switching back and forth to finish sp stuff. It's not odd in the slightest.
Ah, I see. Although explaining yourself a bit better in the first place might have been preferable.
Oh, I dunno, I think it does. You said so yourself: 'everyone bought GTAV for single player', so it stands to reason that the online portion was of less importance to the gamer (irrespective of how stable/awesome it is/could be).
I am saying its a 60/40 split rather than a 90/10 split. Online was important.
Single player was clearly a huge draw and really well done, but the hours I put into both the GTA IV and RDR multiplayer hugely outweighs the time I put into getting 100% on the single player on both of those games.
That's fair enough. The main draw for you was the single player bit.
And yet the main draw to buy it on release was the online mode.
You're contradicting yourself a bit.
