Anyone know of a secure email client, not secure as in sending encrypted data, I mean secure in that no one who uses your computer can read your mail and with an encrypted post database file.

Had a look around the net, but couldn't find anything.

Set up the guest account so they cannot see what is in your account.

You can password protect PST files in Outlook which encrypts them... not aware of any free clients offering something similar.

You can password protect Thunderbird so it can't be opened....Not sure about the encrypted post database file.

Don't think that protects the storage files. Mail can still be read by directly opening the files in notepad, if you've got admin privileges to browse to the users folder

    Thanks for those links.

I not looking for a web based email as I want to keep the data on a local disk. I would prefer proper client software.

Webmail and logout of it, would be the obvious answer.

But what OS are you using?

Truecrypt to create an encrypted folder where you can set all your emails/temp internet files etc to be stored and job done (just DONT forget your password) and you can even mount it on a USB stick so you know where your data is at all times and remember to uncheck remember password on your chosen email program

Why not just have a Windows user account with a password?

Judging by a thread in politics, I think the OP wishes to help out David Miranda.
