Hi guys,
Im hoping someone can help me.
Im looking up ps3 for an xmas present and I found a 12Gb one for £133 and a 500Gb one for £209.
Its for a kid but I dont think 12Gb would be enough memory on it.
I know you can swap hard drives but what would the cheapest option here be. Buy a 12Gb and put in more memory or buy the 500Gb one.
If it is the first option what memory woulld you recommend ?
And is putting another hard drive in the only option ? Like is there any other kind of memory I could use ?
Thanks in advance !

You'd be saving about £30, but of course if you want to spend a bit more you could get 1TB like this:

Fitting an internal HDD is your only option, as while an external HDD can be used for storing music/video etc. it's no good for playing games. But don't worry, fitting the internal drive is ludicrously easy.
Do your own upgrade as the other poster said. Cheaper!
I've seen a few 500GB bundles recently for £199 - £210 and they included 2 games (I've seen bundles offering GTA V/The Last Of Us/Beyond: Two Souls etc) whereas the 12GB model was standalone.
If this is the case then the cost of the games (assuming that you actually want those titles) should also be factored in when considering a HDD and cradle upgrade with the 12GB.
