We're staying down in Teddington in a few weeks for the weekend, just wondered if any TV programmes or anything are still recorded there on a Saturday night?

Some well known programmes are still filmed there, but nothing major. Some of the bigger programmes from the last few years include Harry Hills TV Burp and Not Going Out, but both moved to BBC TV Centre in the last couple of years.

I can't find anything for definite, but if you look on Applause Store there's a panel show called Duck Quacks Don't Echo (hosted by Lee Mack) which films at Teddington and is supposed to be coming very soon, although there's no specific dates yet. You can put your name down on the reserve list though. There's also a reserve list for The Rob Brydon Show, although no dates for that either. And there's a few others with the recording location TBC, which might be worth keeping an eye on. Not Going Out is back at Teddington now, but won't be filming while you're there.

But....... don't park there, IT FLOODS.

Yet people still do it, even with all the warning signs.

High tide at Lunchtime was a favourite walk, to cross the bridge, to the Lock, and see all the submerged cars on the way !

And there was always a car with a PRESS sticker on the windscreen, so.... we used to PRESS IT !!!

Is the 'Benny Hill' pub still there, up the road?
It's either the Kings Arms or the Kings Head. It has a back room with studio memorabilia, including a stuffed camel.

Yes, people forget: Teddington = Tide-end-town. (So techniquely, it's on the coast.)

If you are a Benny Hill fan, have a look at some of the playing fields/green spaces in front of the Studios - you may recognize that these are the spots he always filmed those comedy chase scenes.

I think you have to apply for tv recording tickets quite a long way in advance - probably best to ring them up and ask about it.
