At a fairly fast pace? I'm strapped for cash at the moment so to save money I'm thinking of walking instead of taking the bus, the benefits are this
-healthy
-saves money
-can say to grandchildren I had to walk 6 miles everyday to get my education
bad points are going to be
-got to remain positive otherwise it'll be a shitter in the morning and at the end of the day
I'm at college so I can just sleep for most of the day anyway

Dont forget to take into factors such as windy roads (as in bendy not full of wind) and hills!
Nah sod that, I'm already in my slippers.
That's like half a years supply of food.
But you will be burning fewer calories and so need less food, therefore saving the money that you spent on the bike.
what do you live on - bread and water !
To walk it, you are probably looking at around 15mins/mile - so around 1hr30 is probably about right.
3-3.5 miles/hr medium
4-4.5 brisk
If you do it often enough though like anything it gets easier.
20 minutes per mile (3mph) would take you 2 hours.
15 minutes per mile (4mph) would take you 1 1/2 hours.
5mph would take 1 hour and 12 minutes.
That's what I was wondering as well!
It would take me about £30- 40 a week to feed an average adult.
i walked from my parents home to uni a few times, that was 5 miles and took me an hour, mostly uphill coming back though which was uncool
What: you bought one beer which cost you £4? Baffled...
If you only spent 15 a week, that's just about £2 a day - for 3 meals, so only 65p per meal.
I reckon I'd spend nearer £1- 2 per meal. That would include not beer but bottled drinking water.
Last time I timed myself anyway, bit sad I know, but there are reasons.
Warp speed me go.
I live exactly 1 mile from the train station, which every morning takes me about 8 minutes, obviously you don't want to miss train, lol.
Maybe as walking I do take routes cars can't so maybe a bit less than a mile.
But I guess as you do walk on further you get bit tired or a stitch sometimes.
Appartently we walk faster if rain.
well i buy fresh veg and cook my own food not get pre-made ones, that 15 includes toiletries as well of course
well also didn't buy any eggs coz i had a box full already
thanks for the maths lesson. i used the wrong head...
