No, the files will be just be data, not audio.
Either Windows Media Player or iTunes etc. can burn audio CDs if that's what you want.

you can burn either a data or audio CD with windows built in option
Edit: Must have been think of WMP for burning audio CD, still built into windows though.
it also installs an advertising toollbar, giving occasional popup ads for paid for products from same author. but you just go to "installed programs" in windows and uninstall it. quick and easy to do.

to the computer, all files are "just files". audio and video files of different formats will play on a pc in most mediaplayers. however, bluray and dvd must be mastered inro a specific format to play in standalone players. and cd format requires converting from mp3 sound format (usually) into the pulse code modulation that standalone cd players recognise.

Exactly, Windows 7 can burn data CDs from within Explorer, and music CDs from Media Player.
+1 to this. It's recently had an update to the burning engine (since 4.5) that made it better at/capable of writing data discs on non-Intel chipsets.
The interface is old school, like Nero before they messed it up (v7.0 onwards).
It burns DVDs and CDs, handles image files and can write to file. There are lots of expert options if needed, but it's just so easy to use.
Completely free and no registration required. It just works.
Another vote for this software, its very impressive.

Dead easy to use.
Hard to far wrong here. Its being the one to trust for many a year now.
No it does much more.
You needed to wiki it.
It is the de-facto one used. I'd only ever consider another one if I got stuck.
