Several of the songs I’ve listened to on line are actually pretty good, and from what I can tell, Janet's album has received fairly decent reviews so far.
I hope the album gets some traction after it is released to the general public. It’s not an easy road for independent artists.
-By writing and recording with some of the top independent artists in the UK & America she has established herself as a true artist and has gained a massive amount of respect from proper music fans and artists alike.
-Janet is currently on tour for which she is getting rave reviews. Newton Faulkner will be special guesting for Janet's gig in London.
-Janet's fan-base is not confined to one demographic but sweeps across all sections of the population. She has fans across the world with campaigns in Spain, America and Canada from fans wanting her to tour in their respective countries.
Because her fans are of all ages, genders, cultures etc, it gives her a much wider base likely to buy her music than artists whose management "target" specific demographies.
-Despite being out of the media spotlight for nearly 2 years (to write and record her album) Janet has maintained a massive fan-base, which is still growing, and is likely to expand exponentially when her debut single and album are released.
-Janet's album was fan-funded without any media or promotion, yet reached it's target within in a few weeks. The album has already had enough pre-orders that, if it had been released this week, it would have been in the UK Top 10 (this is excluding any additional sales from the general release). And this is without promotion.
-By fan-funding her album and writing it herself, Janet has ensured that she will keep the rights to her own music, ensuring that she earns the royalties from her own songs. This is different to most "hyped" artists who sing songs written for them with the songs owned by the record companies.
- Janet has been approached on numerous occasions from record companies desperate to work with her before the release of her album. Yet it was only after the album was completed to her own standard that she went into negotiations.
-She finally signed a record contract after the album was released to pledgers. The contract will now ensure she receives more media attention prior to the album's general release. And a date for the single and album have been set, just not released as of yet.
-For me personally, what she achieves chart wise is irrelevant compared to what she has already achieved as she has created an absolute cracker of an album and set up her own tour...and she is still only 18 years old.
-Basically, Janet has ensured that she will have a long career lasting decades as people such as Dallas Green has achieved.
-As a bonus, Janet has taken time to meet every person at her tour to thank them personally for their support, so not only is she an amazing artist but also an absolute gem of a human being.

I'm not a fan of Janet, but if the statements are true then it's good for her and if critics giving good reviews regarding her album, then that's good for Janet fans
I can't believe how delusional some Janet fans are. The post above reads like a PR statement.
I know - why should I read that? It's like a history essay on the Battle of Janet D and the XF.
And what talent? Janet has a nice voice. So does everyone else in the music industry - that's why people listen to them. She doesn't have anything else. She can't sing in tune, can't sing uptempo, can't do versatility and doesn't have even a bit of charisma nor personality.

In your opinion, singers and artists have different fans and people who cant stand them. Opinions are not facts they just express personal taste.

Success post X factor is about whether Cowell sees he can make money out of you - and not talent.
One Direction aren't successful because of their singing abilities or song writing talent.
So good luck to Janet - another potential X factor winner who the show sought to undermine by nasty comments/early slots because she wasn't the winner Cowell wanted.

Agree - she's doing it her way. The X factor style promotion and excessive personal appearances wouldn't have suited her. I wish her the best of luck with it all.

And never will be by all accounts.

Us janet fans aren't delusional we just recognise real talent when we see it.
Thank you Janet's mum !
It's always awkward when people post statements such as this without knowing what they're actually talking about.

Amazing.
What has Melanie got to do with it?
Just making a point of view which is what a forum is for.
Exactly, the fact that that person is having a dig at Melanie in threads that has nothing to with her shows how threatened she/he feels.
