My OH is hoping for a feature length film. Sad isn't it?

    Absolutely. Those are awful.

I've got 4 of the cuddly meerkats now though so they need to keep them running just long enough for me to collect the final 2

I'm just waiting for a spin off tv show along the lines of "creature comforts". You have to admit it was a clever stroke of marketing genius whoever dreamt it up.

The ads and the meercats are cute but I haven't a clue what the web site they're plugging is about ...so as ads they totally fail in my eyes.

Me too, and those meerkat things grate especially. But by far and away the worst one is those moneysupermarket ones - as soon as the 'Take My Breath Away' song comes off, I pounce on the remote to mute it. I'll never, ever use that site purely because I detest the ad so much. What is it with insurance ads that are so intensely irritating?

And anyone who says 'simples' deserves an immediate and severe punch in the face!

I presume he means the "latest" batch with Robert Webb.

The old ones are /were marvellous IMHO .

    I agree wholeheartedly!
They are funny and so well done too.
The Corrie ones are fantastic.......a lot of work must have gone into creating those.

    Yep - me.

But as ads they aren't a roaring success in my gaff save insofar as they have increased brand awareness amongst a small, select group who aren't potential customers anyway.

And we loathe the human version.

Hence the Robert Webb ads. Originally the Meerkats spelled out that there was the car insurance site but they've ditched that aspect of it recently. Robert Webb is there to remind folk.

I like them. I particularly like the Corrie-sponsorship ads. Especially the one with Alexanda on the factory steps talking "northern".

I just hope they retire them before they're overkilled.

The meerkats are harmless fun and less boring than most, and remember the old BT ads with Maureen Lipman, those were ads worth watching.

I can remember the first one and thought it was great. Been done to death now so very bored with them.
