flickering/fluttering tv picture

I have a Technika digital tv about 3 years old. Yesterday as soon as I turned it on the picture was flickering (sort of "shimmering" fast). It settled down quite a bit after a while, but it was still there. I rang the help-line and did all their "restore" suggestions - turning off for 30 minutes, re-scanning etc. I wondered if it was my aerial connection but tried the tv with another point in the house and was the same.

Any ideas? It is not my main tv but not old so don't feel inclined to bin it, though my local repair shop say it may not be worth repairing.

Thanks.:)

22 inch. Yes I think I have to agree. Seems so wasteful though.

Technika is the cheapest rebadged tat that the Tesco buyer can find when scouring the sweatshops of the world. Spend a bit more on a reputable brand.
