Tivo Streaming

I do not see the point in having the facility to watch what you have recorded on your Tivo on a second one in another room when it does not work. All but one of the programs that have been recorded come up with a message saying that they are not licenced to play it. It's a great idea if it worked but it doesn't. Why have Virgin introduced such a flawed system?

Think you are getting confused with the wording "doesn't work". You say that it worked with 1 show, therefore IT WORKED!!
Licensing is a different matter, nothing to do with it working or not.
Stand by what i said, you clearly came here saying the service dit not work, which it does, rights issues has nothing to do with whether the service works or not, as already pointed out.
Jambu is trying to make a valid point. Lay off the guy!
I agree that the Multiroom streaming feature is a joke. I would suggest that the majority of VM customers would also agree. What is the point of having a few very minor channels only when none of the mainstream channels are available. VM obviously never checked out the licensing and legal issues before developing the Multiroom streaming.
You sound like Eric & Ernie!
" I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!"
I am not being nasty, you clearly stated the service does not work, which it does, and i am pointing that out to other posters who might think it does not work, becasue of your post!
Licensing clearly has nothing to do with whether the system WORKS or not.
Virgin didn't develop the multi-room streaming feature, it was developed by TiVo. Adding it to the VM TiVo was simply a case of no longer having it switched off on the VM version of the box, as it was when the VM TiVo was first released.
Therefore, turning it on took virtually no effort on VM's part and it's now available for people who might want to stream recordings from the channels where it is available, for everyone else the box works exactly as it did before.
Then as the licensing issues are sorted out more channels will hopefully start to become available to stream.
But why only the HD version? I can stream the same show on the alternate SD channel, so it's not the content? (Well not the programme). What is going on here? And is this the same on the TiVo?
I am not being silly or anything of the sort. I simply asked a question and made an observation. The attitude of some people on here leaves nothing to be desired and I genuinely think that those individuals need to grow up. I won't be in a hurry to use this forum again to get advice/assistance.
You claimed it did not work, which it does, am I not entitled to my opinion?
There only seems to be 1 person here throwing toys out of their pram!
Get over yourself, you clearly said IT DID NOT WORK, which it does, and I am perfectly entitled to point that out, as that is MY OPINION, take a look at yourself and how you responded to my post before you start throwing stones!!
Surely, if there was 1000 program's on there, and you could only stream 1 of them, that is better than not being able to stream it all. If you use it just once in your lifetime, then it being there was worthwhile.
