Not surprised about Angus T. Jones either - his role was pretty much killed off at the end of Season 9 with Jake joining the Army, and 'that' tape probably put paid to him ever rejoining the show full time anyway. Wouldn't surprise me if he just cuts his losses and leaves completely.
The only possible way it could work is if someone turned up at the door and said he was Charlie's son - it would be completely logical from a character perspective, but it would just feel a bit contrived - especially if they make him as dense as Jake is.
The writers have never made the new dynamic funny and Ashton couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.
In your opinion
That sounds like a good idea.
He could be like Charlie, only a younger version.
He would be Alan's nephew so there would be a relationship there.
Sadly I think they need to get rid of Courtney Thorne-Smith though. Much as I like her as an actress, her character didn't really work with Alan.
And they also need to recognise that Alan is staying in the house. When they tried to have him move out it didn't really work either, just like Alan.
totally agree
ashton is cute but he can't act for nuts
cousin oliver in the brady bunch
I don't agree. Yes, the Charlie Sheen seasons were better, but I don't think season 9 and 10 have been bad at all. I think season 9 was good, but season 10 has been very good. They have clearly stepped things up.
I'm glad there'll be less Jake. His character has become far too dumb and predictable. I really hope Alan breaks up with Lindsay, I can't stand her Hopefully we've seen the last of Zoe too. Also, I would really like Kate to appear at least every now and then. She's adorable
Oh, and I want more Herb, Rose and Evelyn in season 11
Anyone who thinks it could be, will be sorely disappointed. It's like when a new singer joins your favourite band; you still enjoy the band but know it will never quite be the same as it was before because of that 'magic' dynamic.
My advice - treat it like a different show altogether and don't compare it to seasons 1-8.
I honestly think both Ashton seasons have been far better than the 1 and a bit seasons of Charlie Sheen's Anger Management.
I too think the same, the show has gone from being really sharp and witty to being dull. For me it should be given a decent close. I prefare to watch the constant repeats with Charlie rather than what it has become.
Well I almost got it right
'Two and a Half Men' casts girl to replace Angus T Jones
What does everyone think?
I thought it was OK. I feel like they're trying a bit too hard in terms of making her like Charlie. Hopefully she'll grow on me, though.
I actually think Miley Cyrus' character, Missy, would have been a better choice for an ongoing one. But like I said, hopefully Jenny will grow on me
We need to see more Herb though. He's great.
Utter garbage. The new girl is awful and Alan is just a parody of himself now. Walden is wetter than a week in Skegness.
Series link cancelled I think.
Thought it was an acceptable episode to bring her in on, Now that the into is done I'm sure as the character develops it could work out ok.
I like seeing Evelyn playing a role again, she has barely featured in the Waldon Era especially in the last series
I did laugh at Alan dropping Charlie ashes and saying "Oh Not again" and Berta repeating her words from before "I'm not cleaning that up"
I'll keep watching for sure
I also decided to watch a few Anger Management's, and the Charlie character broke down after the female doctor left which has resulted in a drinking, partying, womanising Charlie... they also brought in Brian Green - its sad that Charlie Sheen has to return to type but the drunk him and Brian Green make the show much more watchable.
Aside from last nights episode not being that funny there is really no link whatsoever between the characters. Alan has gone from being a downtrodden loser early on to being actually quite dislikable now. Walden now doesnt really like him much similar to the way Charlie felt about him but there is no relationship there so why does he still have him around? Why would a woman in her mid 20s suddenly become involved? Why would Walden let it happen?
It makes NO sense at all and it could have been done so much better IMO.
That said, I still found it amusing enough though, so I'll likely stick with it.
IMO it''s past it's sell by date now - if hey wanted to carry it on they should have gone with a spin off to breathe in some new life
