Funnily enough I didn't tape "Chelsea" at the time, although a year later "Armed Forces" was the first proper album I bought.
I liked Elvis Costello's first three albums 'My Aim Is True' (1977), 'This Year's Model' (1978) and 'Armed Forces' (1979).
'Chelsea' was the lead single from 'This Year's Model' and 'Pump It Up' was released later in the year but I have a soft spot for all twelve songs on that LP and recently rediscovered
'Lip Service' on YouTube which to me still sounds as fresh, infectious and uplifting as it did 35 years ago:

Mr Beau agrees with you:)
Yep.
Special.
I have the original LP ;)
Add Marley and the McManus boy:D
Indeed. It only got to Number 12 which is a bit bad when you consider how well the awful Chanson D'Amour did in comparison.

That's a great video, much better than the one in the field.
Damn good show tonight.
Quite right. Can't even blame a typo.
I'm glad it's not just me then:)
Reached number 19.
That 30 minutes passed mighty quick, I could do with another half hour of that!
I missed not having the ending and maybe her free from the piano to move about more, but her live vocal made up for it perhaps.
Great episode, weakest point for me was the live version of Fantasy.
Best for me too! - And Kate of course!
