Dan Snow, but he's possibly too tall even for Natalie?

He's around Dan Lobb's height so he could do it if he wanted to but I somehow doubt he would because he wants to be taken seriously as a historian ;)

I'd like to see his uncle Jon Snow do the show - he's great on Channel 4 news and - has charm, wit, humour with a dash of good old eccentricity but I doubt very much if he'd do it either because he's a very private person.

Would be great if they could cajole these serious news readers like Paxman (mentioned earlier whose turned it down) and Snow to do a one off special for CIN - it could be very funny :D

I would think Charlotte could be a likely signing.

She and Robin would be good - and I think it is time Robin had a youngish female celeb

Charlotte Church would be a good signing but would she want to follow in Gavin's footsteps? She'd be the ideal build and height for Robin. I'm not a fan of hers or Robin for that matter either but someone like her would be a good match for him.

I know some people on here have strong feelings about Robin's choreography but I'd like to see what he can do with a contender.

    Anton - Mrs Brown

Some of the younger actors from Mrs Browns boys would be good, although I think they are all related to Brendan O'Carroll.

    James & Ola - Paul O'Grady.
Ola can have Paul, and James can have Lily Savage - probably kill them both though !!

Ardal O'Hanlon hasn't done much lately - he would be good.

Mel and Sue from British Bake off.

Richard Osman (the tall bloke from Pointless) - he's been seeping into primetime a lot lately and of course the celeb version of Pointless is frequently on before Strictly. He'd been great.

I remember her from Tenko and Bergerac, I think she would be a great signing

And she'd fill the obligatory ex-EastEnder slot to boot.

For sir Bruce to do the honourable thing to resign and retire, and for Craig and Len to be shipped out of the show too. :)

Ricky Hatton & Jon Culshaw have both signed up for Let's Dance For Comic Relief.

Would bet a lot of money on one or both being recruited for Strictly (especially Ricky- I think he's realised Reality TV is the way to go)

You must both be thinking of someone else?

Freema Agyeman followed Billie Piper as companion to Dr Who (the David Tennant version). Nowhere near old enough to have been in Tenko or Bergerac, and I've never seen her in Eastenders.

I'm sure they could work around the thirteen inch height difference. :p

Louise Jameson played Leela to Tom Bakers Doctor she also stared in Tenko, Bergerac and EastEnders.

Freema Agyeman is also a companion in Doctor Who :D

We always have somebody from Let's Dance for Comic/Sport Relief and they announced the first names for that today: Tim Vine, Ricky Hatton, Nina Conti and Jon Culshaw. Conti probably isn't 'mainstream' enough for Strictly but I could see any of the other three doing it.
