Can anyone tell me whether or not if there is a way to watch a 4:3 video on Windows Media Player without being squeezed?

Here is the video:

As anyone can see, a 4:3 video squeezed to fit the whole screen.

If the original video is the wrong aspect ratio there's nothing much you can do about it.

    To expand on the above...
    Using VLC Player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
Click on Media>Open Network Stream>paste in the youtube URL>Play
Then click on Video>Aspect Ratio>choose 4:3 and you will then be able to watch the unstretched version in the correct aspect ratio

You could also change the aspect ratio of your monitor, either directly or via the card's software. But I find it is essential to have another video software package - VLC in my case, where the pictures are a bit fuzzier but it is much more adjustable and will play what WMP won't.

What about the picture quality, is it possible to increase the quality of the picture without losing anything?

There are many programs that will claim to tweak the video but remember you can't add what wasn't there to begin with.
You can make some some basic adjustments with VLC.

This particular episode was first shown in 1964 and may be a Telerecording (filmed from a TV screen) rather than tape.
Be thankful that it's available at all
