The ELectric Lady has arrived....blasting it NOW and man oh man its treat after treat....the duet with Prince reminds me of his work with Madonna on "Love SOng" from her Like a Prayer opus and his work with muse Shiela E "A Love Bizarre"....AWESOME!!! so surprised at how much it worked what a treat.
Musically it sounds like a massive step...lEAP forwar from The ArchAndroid (which in many ways is almost impossible) ...the sonics, the sounds, the lyrics...yeah this is an album worth so many replays after replay sublime! Tied with Daft Punk for album of the year for me already! I just love how it flows so seamlessly...very powerful album and a massive treat!
I really like Suite IV, but I'm finding Suite V really difficult to listen to.
The first track on Suite 5 "It's Code" is horrendous. It sounds like some really cheesy show tune (i.e: Defying Gravity). "Victory" isn't that much better either.
Now to be fair, when "The ArchAndroid" first came out, I only really listened to Suite 2. It's only in the last 6 months I've really been listening to Suite 3 as I initially thought it was too weird for my taste.
Ghetto Woman on Suite 5 is too fast tempo. It gives me a headache. It's like a jumble of instruments.
Suite 4 is really really good on the other hand. Give 'Em What They Love, Q.U.E.E.N, Electric Lady, Primetime, We Were Rock & Roll and Dance Apocalyptic are such amazing songs.
