Can't believe she is 77! They should definitely repeat these shows.
Wasn't much of a fan of Jenny Jones, only watched it a couple of times. I remember Shawn Michaels (WWF/E) being on the show once. Ricki was alright too but towards the end it just bored me. What's her new show like? I assume it will be airing on ITV2?
Rikki's show is not that bad. It is syndicated, it airs here on FOX in DC. Sally still does the talk show circuits just not as a host. As for Jenny Jones - I think what transpired after 'the incident/consequence' on the show kinda pushed her away. Haven't heard her name in a long time!

What happened?
Is Ricki's new show just a rehash of her old show or is a bit "Oprah" ?
I see from the FOX UK website that Ricki is on at 4pm weekdays from 21st January. Wrong time I think, that means it is going up directly against, The Real Housewives Of...series on ITV2, Should have stuck it on at 5pm

It's not a rehash. Ricki has reinvented herself. It's not bad!
As for Jenny - she did an episode on secret crushes. It was a male to a male. They had no idea why they were there. It's cringeworthy to watch. The gay guy had the crush. He committed sucide after being rejected. (Not on the show) Only in the US. Jenny has apoligized for it. She stepped away from the show - It was producers that should have been canned. She walked away after the incident.
I recall that episode; I think it was a shame Jenny had to carry the can for that tragic fiasco. She was merely the host of the show; it was not her decision which guests to have on, and which shows to air. I agree; the producers and the company who made the show should have been the ones held accountable. Having said all that, I wonder if Jenny did question the morality and, to put it bluntly, the personal safety of the guests, in doing the show? Were it not for the show, would the guy with the crush have told the object of it anyway? I think he would have, and his suicide was incurred by, I feel, the rejection alone, and not the fact that the rebuttal of his affections was broadcast on tv.
I used to watch these too. I really liked some of the makeover shows they did (I think mainly on Rikki). I always found Sally Jesse Raphael a bit odd to be honest. Not just in appearance but in what she says and how she acts - it all seemed to be a bit stilted and strange.
The other ones I used to watch were Montel and Maury Povich. Anyone remember those? I really liked Maury! It was mainly "who is the father of my ten children?" type stuff. Montel was a bit more serious and in depth and I remember him tearing up a few times.
Montel was never cancelled. He just thought the timing was right to move on. As for Maury - he's still going strong! YES, he still does all the 'who's the daddy shows'!

Maury is good but its getting the same thing every day whos the daddy heres Trollop shes been here 45 times today shes testing another 4 men to find out who is the daddy
I do wonder how true Maury's show is sometimes. There seem to be a endless flow of girls who have had 6 & 7 men tested to find out who the daddy is & there is no way anyone can say their reaction isn't manufactured! Every bloody day there is women screaming and running out of the studio, its ridiculous!
Seen today that Rikki has been axed, bit of a shame for her. Wonder what the reasoning behind that is?
What does everyone here make of Trisha's show? Always did like a bit of Trisha!

Guys you've got it wrong. The guy with the crush was MURDERED by the man who he had the crush on a couple of days after the programme was recorded because he was so embarrassed by what was going to be shown. When it went to trial it was shown he had mental illnesses but the producers ignored it and lied about his crush being a woman

Maury was the only show of those I truly, truly hated. I find he himself very disgusting and his show was the lowest of the low. Particularly those phobia episodes. Fine, get them help, but don't get them to tell them their worst nightmares involving the thing they're most afraid of and then have it jump out at them on stage.
Trisha's (UK) show I used to love to hate. She seemed very anti-men and involved her audience in the most awful way sometimes. But i've caught a couple of her US show having a couple of days off work and i've quite liked it.
I couldn't quite get in-to Trisha's USA show at the start but I've been off all this week from work and I've really, really enjoyed it. I heard it has just been renewed which is great news for her. Jeremy Kyle USA won't be coming back for a third series I understand. There was something very off putting about his US show.

He was actually murdered by the guy he had the crush on
Allegedly people in the US thought he was a bit arrogant and rude. America already has Steve Wilko who is more "relatable" than Jeremy. I just think his show didn't really work.
