Playing random songs instead of what I select -help

When I play a song on my phone its just playing a random song - and when I try and upload music to my phone its saying the music has synced but nothing appears on the phone --- anybody know how to help me please ??

    You may need to provide a bit more info. Such as what phone and which media player etc.

    iPhone 5 and I have updated to ios7
