Some photos have emerged from the production of the Doctor Who docu-drama An Adventure in Space and Time, by Mark Gatiss.
These ones show the brilliant recreated console room of the TARDIS, and I have to say - it looks impressive

I'm pretty much convinced that those sets are impressive enough they might even be used in the 50th Anniversary Special, later in the year.
This other thing has also been sighted in the studio:

Eagle-eyed fans will immediately notice something's not quite right about the thing in the final image :rolleyes:

Is it the 'ears'?
Not exactly... though you're on the right lines

The solar panels, but the 'ears' are the wrong shape as well.
But it looks about as much like a 1963 Dalek as Jamie Glover looks like Bill Russell.
Unfortunately the Daleks have invented their own time travel technology and in addition to larking about on the Marie Celeste have sent back 2005 models to 1963 to cause confusion and anguish.
It's not in it, it's just waiting near the set to get an autograph from some of the original Daleks. They're famous on Skaro.
To be fair, the travel costs alone must make these the most dedicated ming mongs in all fandom. And they've got to do it all again for the November bash.
