There is essentially 5 DLC's for Borderlands 2, although the first one was more a pre-order bonus. The disk only contains the first 3, it doesn't contain the new game hunt one, nor the final currently unreleased one.
If you are a fan of the game, then your going to want all the DLC (and Borderlands DLC's are usually top notch), so just wait a few months for the inevitable all DLC disk, or the GOTY edition to save buying this DLC twice.
There is a season pass available to get all 4 planned dlc for the price of 3.
(there is talk of a larger fifth dlc)
Gearbox are also working on a sixth playable character.
Anyway, on the disc you get:
Captain Scarlett's Pirate Booty (campaign add-on (decent for extra levelling and a bit of variety, nothing too speacial other than a nice level 50 weapon in TVHM))
Mr Torgue's Badass Crater of Badassitude (campaign add-on (decent enough gameplay but very entertaining))
Creature Slaughterdome (arena add-on for vs wildlife)
Gaige the Mechromancer (new playable character)
Gearbox weapon pack (basic weapons for new game characters (assault rifle is okay, smg is worthless))
Firework grenade (used it a few times, killed nothing, pointless)
Yes they are on disk, but if you buy now you lose out on the last two. If you then want the last two in the future non-DLC you will more than likely have to re-buy the other 3 on this disk as part fo an all DLC disk or the GOTY edition. It is highly unlikely they will do a disk with just the final 2 pieces of DLC on it.
Patience is a virtue in this case.
If you're not bothered you could wait for the GOTY but that'll probably be end of the year, late Nov/early Dec.
They did do 2 separate discs for Borderlands 1, so I can't see them not doing it this time around.
The last DLC was/is due in June. They may add more or it may get pushed back but the game will be a year old in September so it isn't that likely.
From past games, your looking around Oct-Dec this year for a GOTY edition, just in time for Xmas. I'm waiting for it, but I have a mountain of games to play, plus WoW so I'm in no rush for it.
I decided to replay Zombie Island of Dr Ned last night . The game got me to install it again (which was weird considering its installed). However when it finished installing I pressed X and it wouldnt let me play just installed again?. Hope its not my PS3. Anyone else had this? . Cheers
