I have to say, you really can tell the difference there between the musical theatre stars and those from Hollywood. Sam and Aaron stand out very strongly.
Indeed. But it would have been even more obvious in the film if they hadn't cut Eponine's role a bit and cut some of her big notes. Its a case of the need for big names dictating all - if they had gone for a couple more musical theatre stars - and had a Javert who could sing the role - it would have sounded much better - but then the rest of the cast would have looked decidedly weak.

She's also appearing on C4's Sunday Brunch next week, and in December's Marie Claire, and she's also singing for 4 days at the Indoor Garden Party, Coffs Harbour with Russell Crowe. This may be in the one in Australia if anyone fancies a long trip.....
