Jade's mom should have arrived in LA by now. I noticed LA's tweeted "hooray for Hollywood" so maybe she came out too.

I'm also one of the biggest fans as well, just haven't had the time to be one.
So will I ask the mods to rename it to just Little Mix Discussion Thread? as the other thing is old now and tbh we dont need it.
A re-name seems a reasonable idea

Good god...they seem to have gone video mad when stuck at the airport.
This sounds good, they are getting a spot on E!

They'll be nearby the Grove to make their 3:30 on that same day.
I hope this doesnt screw up their recording schedule too much.
I hope my next comment doesnt sound too parochial, but for the most part I like how they are made up for the American photoshoots. More natural looking makeup, maybe. And the lighting is softer, they arent having that hard frontal flash look.
I had to look over my shoulder when I watched that, in case anybody could see what I was watching

Tim, use the plain brown paper bag when watching. No one will suspect.
Something was really off with Perrie's makeup that day, but she looked great yesterday. Turns out they did fly last night and arrived at LAX at 1 AM. They must be cross eyed today.
Oh and our friendly pap got to sell a good number of photos going by the credits. Good for him.
Will it be "washboard abs", "toned torso", "toned stomach" or something fresh?. Their minds will be in overdrive.

Yes! Its their news, but its the E! Channel on cable that people do get on basic subscription.
Tim, its going to be "toned midriff".
BTW, last night I was thinking, "Everybody and their mother is in LA except Obama" but guess what, he's flying in today.

Have been thinking recently that Perrie could do with some gym time as well!!!
If you compare her appearance now, with how she was even a year ago, it seems there's been a little too much consumption of fast food... (sorry - just my opinion):(

*waves* The other night I was wishing their sales were stronger, but then I thought they are doing just fine right now overall. They get the press attention, the industry people like them and they have dedicated fans all over so its all good. Also importantly, comparing them to some other groups that have popped up, their campaigns arent really the shambles that others have been. *coughStooshecough* Full steam ahead.
I prefer Stooshe over Little Mix because they know how to dress themselves and have catchier tunes.
Their sales (mainly the US) aren't exactly amazing? 400k single and barely 100k album.
Stooshe is in disarray right now. They yanked their next single off YouTube and in that last interview said they never intended it to be a single but a song they wanted to make a music video to. Huh? Plus their album has only sold in the 40k? range.
No matter what the LM fans thought of the releases for CYL and HYD in the UK, they were nothing like the Waterfalls/Slip/My Man Music trio. I'm wondering if Warner is going to drop Stooshe.
My purpose in bringing this up is comparatively, LM has had a pretty straight line of progress. There's something to be said for "it does what it says on the can" and not confusing the public.
I feel sorry for StooShe. Me and my soul-loving twin brother both thought Slip was Diana Ross worthy, but they just don't have it in them. I feel gravitated to LM because they have the disadvantage of having won XF (if it was an advantage, why was Leona- now in obscurity-the only previous sucessful winner- other talent shows don't have this problem) and being the only act from the 2011 series, from which I thought 5 or 6 would ace, left standing (Amelia's success in East Europe notwithstanding), and having had a low-selling winners single. The fact that their best song was written by themselves alongside an obscure RnB crew with a former flop boyband singer who won the ESC In 2011, before working with LM, Emeli Sande ect, makes their chart positions in UK, USA and Australia more remarkable. 4th is a higher peak than most British acts in the US albums chart and, as a GBWR placing, makes it a better achievement still. I wish they were more popular in Europe, although their album earned ace peaks there, so EuroMixers may be fans of the group in general rather than any individual song.
In this 'day and age' I'm inclined to think the above is rather difficult to achieve - given that acts seem to come and go like butterflies in a stiff breeze
- - It seems very few are around long enough to set down any firm roots. - - !'m talking 5 years longevity plus.
(Apologising for mixed metaphors )
Exactly. I dont know if its always been like this (I've never paid attention before) but the impression I'm getting is that acts arent given a lot of time to make it. Forget about development time even. The turnaround is really quick. I have to say I'm impressed with how The Saturdays have managed to stay alive for multiple years in this climate without being megastars.
Sometimes I look up the histories of singers/bands that I've liked and a lot of times "back in the day" they didnt really break out until the 3rd album or so. Nowadays you'd be lucky to even get that.
LM, and even 1D and 5H, can last a long time, but they will need to do acoustic stuff more frequently to do so.
