On holiday earlier this month and James Corden, Peter Jones and Holly Willoughby came in to a bar with a group of other friends. All three of them were absolutely charming, happily chatting and posing for photos with everyone who asked and over the course of the couple of hours that was an awful lot of people! Special thanks to James who recorded a very funny video message for my son who had had to stay at home following a serious car accident.
Was that awful Keith Lemon with them - him and his family are supposed to be sharing a villa with HW and her family.
Thinking about it he could not have been or you would have known about it.
My old band supported them a few years ago and they were all lovely. Their management weren't as nice and wouldn't even let us have a group photo with them.

You do know that Keith Lemon is a character and not a real person, don't you?
I'm no fan of Lemon either but don't know what Leigh Francis is like when he is himself. Has anyone here met him?

You'd be shocked how many people don't know/believe that Keith Lemon isn't real.
I think I read earlier on this thread or possibly on a similar one that someone had met Leigh Francis "as himself" and he was actually quite shy and quiet. Makes sense I suppose, if you're shy you might want to only be a more flamboyant character in public.

Yes, I met James Corden in a bar and he was very sweet and not showbizzy at all.

We did hear that Leigh Francis was on the resort too, but we didn't see him and he wasn't with the group that night
Aw, that's lovely to read. Gene was one of my mum's (many) crushes in the 60's. Tragically lost too soon.
Your mum had good taste
Gene always had time for his fans, would take every phone call ( I know, 'cos I was the telephonist) and come downstairs to meet any fan who called at the hotel to see him.
He even paid for 2 fans to stay overnight after they had waited until midnight for him to get back from a show. He then arranged for them to see him in concert.
I could go on, but I won't as you say, gone far too soon.
Gene was good friends with The Rolling Stones - who I hated as much as Freddie Cannon.
Kevin Cosner nice
Chiwetel Ejiofor very nice and very modest low key
Tim Burton shy and modest
James Earl Jones classy total sweetheart
Robin Thicke bit up himself considering no one knew him
The girl who missed out on girls aloud Javine a bitch
Martine McCutcheon full of herself
Allen Stone total sweetheart
James Arthur nice
My other half is from a Northern Ireland village called Loughbrickland which you used to have to drive through when travelling from Belfast to Dublin. In the 60's his father was in the Village Inn one Thursday evening, when a limo pulled up outside and Roy Orbison entered the premises - to see his performance on Top of the Pops it turned out. He bought the whole bar a drink - namely the OH's father, the barman and 2 other punters.

Do you ever remember the case when a woman was beaten into a coma in the seventies and she was a huge fan and when she came round, the Big O paid her a visit.

Is he the one who did 'Twenty Four Hours from Tulsa'?? And that duet with Marc Almond?? I love those songs!!! And his voice!

:D Loughbrickland is TINY!!! My sister lives just outside it...a very beautiful part of the world!
Met Eve Myles, Gwen from Torchwood at Collectormania today. Even more beautiful in real life than on tv and with a lovely welcoming smile. I know she was being paid to be nice to people but she was absolutely lovely to talk to and made my day.
I live in Zurich and I met Tina Turner several times as my in-laws were her neighbours from her old address. She never bothered to say good morning or even reply to my occasional hellos. I don't know her personally so I cannot judge her character from these brief bumpings into her but for sure she doesn't strike me as an overly warm person. My parents-in-law said she was very strange: one day she would smile and ask how are you and other days she would ignore them completely. I think she has had several cosmetic procedures done but she is... how to put it... not so very pretty in the flesh with no makeup on. Out of the many times I saw her, only once she had no hat on and I can assure you that she wear wigs. I'm 5'10'' so her height didn't impress me but yes, she is tall and has a big bum, LOL. Her posture bothered me somehow, I don't know.
I often met local TV personalities and even US actors in restaurants but it's quite normal here. When I worked at a department store on the Banhnhofstrasse, I got to talk to Jay Kay, Kyle Minogue (really small and so terribly annoying. At last my boss gave her all for free... long story....), Jean Claude van Damme, Arnold Schwarzenegger (I was surprised at how bad his German was), Sir Michael Caine, Gerard Dépardieu (ok, he only cared to check if his wines were displayed as he had requested....) and a few more whose names now I cannot recall. It's not uncommon to meet Italian VIPs here (guess they use the Swiss banks and I'm not joking!). My fave was Giorgio Armani. So very kind and he complimented me on my Italian - he laughed loudly when I told him I actually was Italian.
I'll end this by saying that the best looking celeb was Simon Le Bon. Incredibly handsome but so sure of his good looks that it was a major turn off. His vanity must have no confine.
Does the porn star Rocco Siffredi count as a celebrity? Well, he has a boyfriend here, yes a BOYFRIEND, whom he visits often... He always buys plenty of white chocolate and Maraschino truffles...

Why was Kylie annoying? She always seems nice if a tad cold
From remarks I have read from her fans, she has always seem nice, but I've come across negative comments too. This is why I prefer reading accounts from those who have worked with celebs or encountered them on a professional basis, these people tend to be more frank because the celebs will not put on a nice facade with them.

I read an interview with Harry Reems once and he said, in his experience, most male pornstars are bixsexual.

I almost put Leigh Francis in brackets but assumed everybody knows KL is a character.

Ah okay I know most do but by no means everyone does, not in my experience anyway;)

Yes, and check out "I'm gonna be strong" and "It hurts to be in love."
I know there's loads of others but those are among my favourites.
