I don't want to sound like a total noob, but frankly I am. When it comes to tv that is.
Now here is my issue.
I currently play my xbox 360 on a good 22 inch pc monitor with no problem, using my xbox vga cable. Now with all the ps3 deals of late (yeah I know ps4 coming) I am tempted to take the punt. Only problem is the vga connection issues with this console. So I though about buying a cheap enough 22-24 inch hd tv to play both consoles on. Only problem is most say refresh rate 50hz native.
This where my head hurts. I have read that some games need 60hz and read others that say this isn't a problem.
So at last there's my question, will buying a tv saying 50hz refresh rate native limit my gaming? If so I think I'll give the ps3 a miss.
Thank you for your time.

You need to look at the specs for PC input to the TV, all on mine are 60 Hz refresh rates.
