David Guetta, Ne-Yo & Akon 'Play Hard'

Already up to no 15 on iTunes despite not being an official single (as yet) and having no airplay. It is only a few places behind the official single 'She Wolf' and at this rate it will over take it.

Its a 'big dumb disco' track, but somehow I think its so blatantly a big dumb disco track that it works, and the combination of Guetta, Ne-Yo, Akon and an old Alice Deejay sample should be commercial gold for Guetta.

I agree and like this song and wonder if he's considering releasing it instead of She Wolf?

I actually like it. It wouldn't make a bad single.

    The sample puts me off.

It takes a while of getting used to, since the sample is so well-known, that it seems weird hearing it in a different song. But it's okay. I think he should carry on with She Wolf, but certainly release this afterwards. They've already sent She Wolf to radio and everything, I think it's probably too late to cancel it.

And it's up to #14 now.

I think this version is too high. This is the real version (which I prefer):

This is the kind of trash that gives dance music a bad name.

What's the difference (I've only listened to the song a couple of times, so I don't really know it that well yet lol)?

The pitch is lower and Ne-Yo/Akon no longer sound like chipmunks :D

I don't like the song that much, to be honest. Why did David Guetta steal Alice Deejay's song?

dance music is a huge and versatile genre so that makes no sense.

besides this is more bubblegum pop.

and i like it, its probably the alice deejay sample which is giving it a huge boost!

It's not stealing, it's sampling

David Guetta released a different version of this song a few weeks ago with different production.

Indeed, the new version is here:

the 'R3hab' remix is the real gem though IMO:

the big bonus on the remix is no Akon! :D

not sure if Guetta is even releasing this now though? as he is back in the studio doing a new album.
