Just seen a reporter and cameraman seemingly attacked on the BBC News channel whilst covering the riot in Tottenham.

I hope the team are OK.

Confirmed by the head of the BBC news channel that they are all ok now. All BBC/SKY cameramen/journos have had to leave.
Seperately a BBC OB van was attacked with people in it. They managed to escape.

    ****ing thugs:mad:

It won't, it's purely a reaction to someone who was shot a few days ago by a police officer. It'll die down soon, they usually do in this country.

I know the reason why,but it doesnt take much for thugs to copy for the fun of it.

    Nothing pure abut that reaction.

It is also a worrying trend that the press are being targeted. probably because if mum and dad actually see you on TV, the Met Police may have to save your skin!!!

Actually, the investigation is on going and it has not yet been established that this man was shot by a police officer.

Incredible that even in warzones, the press are generally not deliberately attacked, but in this country some scumbags think it acceptable to do so, and will in all likelihood get away with it.

Hopefully the dirty scum who did this along with all the other lowlife that have been arrested will get some proper jailtime along with everybody that can be identified on any film or CCtV.

It could turn out to be murder yet as the flats above the shops that these waste of space scumbags have burned down have yet to be searched for bodies.

I would say it's becsue they did not want their "thug mates" yes they are basically thugs to be filmed whle breaking the law like trashing taht police car. So took it upon them selves to ensure the likes of BBC and Sky could not potentially get eveidence from filming it for their live coverage.

It's disgracefull they that's basically it, so are really cowards and are not "hard and cool" like they make out. I hope they are locked up for a long time if the thugs are ever caught.

they shouldn't broadcast riots live anyway (BBC or Sky). Havent they learned anything from Northern Ireland, the world centre of recreational rioting?

If these idiots get their face on tv, they will be at it every week.
