I thought when watching the Joobley concert some weeks ago now that Cliff now shows his age. Either hair dye or a wig. Paul McCartney deffo a wig. Both have faces that are cracking and crumpling in, time to stop touring now guys.
As for Elton, his hair has ALWAYS been a joke. His voice is now markedly different and not very good now from his hey day. I wouldn't pay a penny to go to one of his concerts now, a tribute band would be a better investment to go and see.
Tom Jones has embraced his age and his hair colour and is the best looking now of them all, for his age.
As for me, I now have a large bald spot on the top of my head, but at least I can't see it when I look in the mirror. And my brother who is five years younger than me is now bald so I guess I'm not doing too badly.
Why shouldn't men try and hide their baldness? Women have been making themselves look attractive all of their lives since they were teens with makeup and hair dye and fake lashes etc. It really is a shock to see your girlfriend for the first time without all of her make up on, that's the test of a relationship, lol! At least with a bloke the girl knows what she's getting right from the start!
I really don't think Paul McCartney wears a wig, not that's really relevant to anything. He's got a great big bald patch at the back, can't understand why you would have a wig and have a bald patch?
Also you say his face cracking, it's called ageing. He's 70.
He has produced some of his best music since 1997, since his late 50's. It would be really sad if he stopped creating music and songwriting, because folks are uncomfortable in this country with the ageing process. He gets an awful lot of what I would call bullying now with regards to his looks.
We have become somewhat of a bully culture hiding behind our laptop anonymity.
If he chooses to die his hair green, I don't care as long as the songwriting talent is still there.
As for his voice, I've seen him in concert several times and have been very impressed. 3 hr concerts without a break.
Not every concert is going to be perfect now, but he still puts on an amazing show, with a lot of energy and stamina.

And yet, strangely, when he first stopped using the hair dye he actually came in for some criticism. Even though he had previously looked like David Gest's dad....
I think now people have got used to it they realise he looks better.
He's in good voice, too - I've never been a fan but I thought his performances on The Voice were impressive (even when the arrangements and/or choice of material weren't).

Well they make sets of false teeth with fake fillings in and on display....
"ooh look Ethel he's got false teeth doncha think?"
"nah Gladys look at them fillings! 'im over there has got a syrup on his head though"
"nah he ain't. see the bald bit at the back"
"ooh yes, must be real then, Gladys. Oh Gladys?"
"yes Ethel?"
"we ain't real, are we?"
"nah, we're just a device for Dennis C to use on Digital Spy when the mood takes 'im"

Absolutely agreed. What worryingly ageist comments on this thread. People get criticised for ageing - then they get criticised for - apparently - trying not to age. We are all ageing the whole time. The biggest irony with McCartney is he used to get flack for NOT dyeing his hair!

I don't know whether McCartney wears a wig or not, he certainly started making very dubious use of hair dye during his marriage to Heather Mills....
But on the "why wear a wig with a bald patch" question, everyone is absolutely adamant that Terry Wogan wears a syrup, but he's got a massive bald patch at the back. So does he really wear a wig? I don't know.

Yes he does!! I really can't believe that people still think Terry doesn't wear a wig.
The idea of the little bald patch is to try and make it look real. Terry has longer and shorter wigs to make it look as though he's had a haircut. Strange man.
Does Rob Brydon wear a wig, or is it some kind of weave contraption? Saw him on an old episode of QI and he had a bald patch and was thinning on top, then all of a sudden he's on Would I Lie To You with a lovely full head of bushy hair
I can understand how many men must be traumatized at loosing their hair and would never ever make fun of them for trying to disguise it - however there comes a time, later in life when surely it must become agreeable to accept what nature has intended. I love Paul McCartney and have had the pleasure to meet him ( I was an air hostess ) but his dye job was just terrible. All the staff could talk about was his "midnight aurburn " rinse"..shame! Sometimes letting the grey or bald patch is the better option.
I never knew Tony Blackburn, Terry Wogan or Cliff wore a wig:eek:
I assumed Cliff just died his hair
Others are famous for it , Brucie, Elton, Paul Daniels etc:D
Except for Ernie Wise who was famous for the wig that actually wasn't
It's so obvious that Cliff Richard wears a wig. In photos that have been taken above him, you can clearly see a line where his wig sticks to his head or pins to his hair.
If anyone gets to 70 with a good head of hair, its assumed to be a wig. My dad is nearly 80 and has a FULL head of hair. I doubt if he has lost a single hair throughout his life, AND it is not all grey. About 50% and its all natural.
On that basis i doubt Macca does anything except dye it.
I know it was mentioned in this thread a while back but is Jeremy Kyles hair a wig? I never used to think it was but it's looking more like a syrup as the years go on...
Bruces syrup is a beauty and looks the best because it has the road kill look . Sadly it has just announced its retirement after being in showbiz for nearly 50 years working on heads for greats such as Frank Sinatra and Paul Daniels .
I think Jason Gardner the Dancing on Ice judge wears a wig. I know a few years ago he admitted to having had a hair transplant that went wrong and left him in agony. He said he was going to come out of the bald closet and he looked perfectly fine with no hair, but now he's back with a very suspicious looking full head of hair.

I wonder when that was. All of us who dye our hair know that sometimes it comes out better than others - and there`s not alot you can do about it. I`ve met Paul McCartney on seveal occasions and his hair has always looked absolutely fine - but he has had his share of disasters, undoubtedly.

I think he has had a hair transplant, I think they take hair off yur arse and stick it to your head, not sure how it works
i think half mccartneys problem with his hair this century is the amateur way in which he dye's it...its almost as if he buying 'just 4 men' and a tub of petrolium jelly and doing it himself rather than having expensive hairdressers shape it weekly. ..considering his wealth im sure it would be a minor vanity!.
however there is no way he wears a wig ..no way...hes also had no plastic surgoery either .......i think he is excused for his minor vanity issues with his hair..he's alway's been a very decent down to earth celeb sort in general especially considering hes been the most famous and wealthy rock/pop star on the planet the last 50 years.
Carol vorderman . Her hair often looks wig like, the parting always looks a little suspect and the length and colour change daily. Jane McDonald's hair looks like a helmet, is it a wig?
Terry Wogan was wearing an awful wig on the 5th January 1978 edition of Top of the Pops that was shown on BBC 4 this week. You could see the join it was so bad

Yes it's a transplant. His friend David Walliams mentions in "Camp David" that he has more hair than he used to have. It's not a secret. Well, it's not now.

It was worse than his Floral Dance song even!!
Did you see him on Room 101 last week?
My personal favourite was Capt. Mainwarings in the episode of Dad's Army when they were all trying to look younger
