"And she believes we’re ready, as a nation, for her in a position of authority.

“It means I might have to change my nationality,” she says. “But now I’m a national treasure, and I have to say, honestly, I do feel much more in place here – I have been living here for 15 years.

“I’m much more close to what’s happening here in the UK than what’s happening in Italy. Their sort of politics is utterly *incomprehensible.”

I can't believe this woman thinks she is a national treasure and wants to be an MP. The country would be in a worse state with her in power.

If she's a nation treasure doesn't that mean she should be locked up in the Tower of London??

If she's a ''national treasure'' perhaps she needs burying?

She is not capable of stringing one simple, coherent sentence together and looks like a tired tranny (with apologies to the fabulous ones).

I suspect her self delusion has finally reached epic proportions.

    Matron?

Nancy might make it as a Mumble of Parliament, but she probably won't do very well there unless she has Stanley Unwin, Pingu, Morph and the Clangers to talk to.

I think Jeremey Paxman summed up what the nation was was thinking "I haven't faintest idea what you are talking about!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_vqdRkv7LI

I think she would be good with a non speaking part at Christmas panto that is her calling not an MP. Can you imagine the revealing outfits in parliament?

National treasure? Excuse my ignorance, but I haven't the foggiest about who she actually is.

Google time for me I think.

I think she should be sectioned as she is obviously off her head and needs an urgent reality check.

She lives in a fantasy world. Then again, so does Jeremy Corbyn and he is doing pretty well at the moment. Nancy can replace Cameron.

One is an elected MP, a popular politician and has his economic policies supported by many of the world's leading economists. The other ****ed Sven Goran Eriksson. Shite comparison.
