Depending on what music you have been asked to play, I would avoid a lot of the above. Most are ballads and will kill the mood. The 90's was a great era for dance, birtpop and pop. All fun, upbeat and will make your crowd dance. I don't know why you would play only ballad in a nightclub IMO.

Nightcrawlers - Push The Feeling On

Make sure it's this version though as all the countless remixes out there are crap compared to this.

Not sure what sort of crowd you are playing to but if it's mainstream music you want then there are so many to choose from. A few from the early '90s:

Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence
    Adamski - Killer
The Adventures of Stevie V - Dirty Cash
Dee-lite - Groove is in the heart
    The KLF - 3am Eternal
    Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy
The Source Featuring Candi Staton - You Got the Love
The Shamen - Move Any Mountain
Rozalla - Everybody's Free to Feel Good

    Some great options there....

It's just a bar, not a club, so I don't want to play dance music all night. I thought a mixture of easy listening, followed by pop, followed by dance from 10pm onwards...?
