Doctor Who - The Sensible Story Thread

Those of you who have been following the "Doctor Who One Sentence At A Time" thread will know that there's a lot to be said for posting more than one sentence at a time when contributing to a story thread but my main problem with that thread is that the OP gave license for the story to get wacky and, unfortunately, that kind of derailed a promising story with some posters posting pure nonsense stuff like man-eating tortoises with magic eggs!
I can't really complain about that as the OP doesn't prohibit it on that thread but it's not really my kind of thing. Neither is the Five Words thread any better in terms of sensible stories so I've decided to try a new story thread for posters, like me, who like their stories to make some kind of sense.
I'm not going to list a lot of rules and regulations, nobody has to be an award-winning writer or anything. You can post one sentence or several paragraphs. The main rule is that once you've posted you can't post again until someone else does. All I ask is that we try to restrict events to the sort of thing that wouldn't be amiss on the actual TV show.
Before things turned completely wacky there was a promising story developing on the One Sentence thread which I'd like to see if we can see it through to its conclusion so I am transposing all the posts from that story onto this thread to start us off.

'Ah yes. The delectable Martha Jones. I had almost forgotten. How remiss of me!'
'Is'nt she just how you remember her...Doctor?' The Master spun around and fixed his gaze towards the Doctors hiding place
'Come out come out wherever you are!'
It seemed the covert approach was now out of the question so The Doctor abandoned all restraint and ran over to Martha and fell to his knees, before reaching out to clutch one of her limp hands which were strapped tightly by her sides/
The Doctor burned with rage. He looked up into Marthas eyes but her gaze was elsewhere, into space.
'i'm sorry. I'm so so...'
The Master ran up behind the Doctor.
'Sorry? Is that the word you're looking for Doctor? You're often sorry aren't you. Yes. Look into her eyes. See what you've done.'
'This was all your work Master. You did this.'
The Master was now dancing around in circles, a twinkle in his eye.
'You are right! This was my work. And isn't it splendid. I cooked her. No...I BOILED her. Until she was just right. And then with this...' The Master taps his fingers on the metal protrusion which sprouts from Martha s forehead
'...with this as my spoon I tapped her upon the head and I cracked her open. And then I emptied her . All that yucky human gloop you value so much. All that memory. All that ephemera. I scooped it out'
The Doctor was broken.
'Martha.please. Say something'
'You're talking to a shell Doctor. I cracked her open. The Martha Jones you knew is gone. She is now but an empty vessel bobbing around in an ocean of confusion and pain, There is nothing human in there anymore. And all the better for it'
'Tell me why....why do this?'
Shame we can't do the same to that Captain Jack upstart but, he's the guest of the Daleks so I don't expect he will be having a pleasant existence from now on.
I'd consider killing you now but, where's the fun in that? Let's see if you can fix your friend. I'm feeling a warm glow just thinking about all the hours of endless frustration you're going to be facing.
The Master gives a maniacal laugh and sweeps out of the room. Fortunately, he doesn't notice Clara who has hidden behind some barrels...
The Doctor looked round, but couldn't see her. He looked puzzled. He pressed a button on his sonic screwdriver, and looking at his device, said, "Ah...Over by the barrels!" He walked over to the barrels and saw Clara was shaking.
"Oh, Doctor!" said Clara. She tried to hug the Doctor. "Shh! It's alright. I won't let the Master get you." said the Doctor.
"Come on. We need to get out of here, before the Master comes back."
They both start to walk out of the room, when suddenly the Rani walks in, having used her Tardis to get there.
"Where do you think you two are going, eh? Think you can outsmart the Master and I?" said the Rani.
"The Rani!" said the Doctor, angrilly.
"Who's she?" said Clara.
"Another Time Lord. Or rather, Time Lady. I'll explain, later."
"That's right, Doctor. You remember me. How clever of you." said the Rani.
"Don't think you two are going. I'm keeping you here, indefinately...Oh, and by the way, your daughter Jenny. She's dead. The Daleks have burnt her body, and they are dealing with Jack as well."
"Oh, Jenny." said the Doctor, Sadly.
"What, Jenny's dead?" said Clara, puzzled.
"You are lying! You're lying!" said the Doctor.
He points his decice at the Rani, and she says, "Dalek, it's the Doctor. I've got him."
The Dalek comes in. It's the White Leader that the Doctor first saw when he and Amy Pond visited Winston Churchill.
"Kil him!" said the Rani.
"EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!" screamed the dalek. The dalek took a shot at the Doctor, and he fell to the ground.
"Doctor!" said Clara.
A yellowish glow emmits all around him, and he looks sad.
"I'm sorry, Clara. I'm going have to change. Goodbye!"
He closes his eyes and starts to regenerate. Clara and the Rani cannot look as the brightness is too much.
The White Dalek moves menacingly forwards, standing over the helpless form of the Doctor, it lowers its gunstalk…
…and explodes. It's top crumples in on itself, a white foam-like substance gushing out and dripping down it's now smoking torso.
The Rani spins round to see Jenny standing in the doorway holding a Dalek exterminator gun expertly in both hands.
"Someone call for an exterminator?", she said.
The Rani speaks into her communicator. "Quickly, beam me out of here!", she cries. Jenny swings the exterminator round to point at her but she is too late. The Rani has vanished.
"Jenny", cried Clara, "the Doctor's been shot!"
Jenny runs forwards and grabs hold of the Doctor as the golden glow surrounds him. The glow seems to surround them both. When it dies down the Doctor stumbles to his feet. "Tell me the worst", he says, "What do I look like? Old, Young? Do I still like bow ties?"
"You look the same to me", said Clara, confused.
"Little trick I learned", said Jenny, "if you like a body, why change it", she grins.
The Doctor hugs Jenny. "I thought you were dead", he whispers, "Again"
"You should know me better than that", said Jenny, gently. "Come on, let's see if we can't do something to help Martha"
