I've read Julia Philips's book 'You'll Never Eat Lunch In This Town Again' and in this book, Julia gets a close encounter with Sophia Loren when both of them are at some showbiz shindig:
The scene: Julia and Steven Spielberg attend the Golden Globe awards to watch Jodie Foster win for Taxi Driver.
QUOTE: 'We sit with Marty (Scorsese) and Julia and Liza (Minnelli) and Jack Haley. Liza is wearing emerald earrings so replete with stones they are making her earlobes a new shape. She seems extremely depressed.
Marty is standing at the opposite side of the table with another bearded guy who is staring and staring at me. Do I know you?
Marty makes a big show of tittering behind the hand over his mouth. I lean over to Steven, who is staring at Sophia Loren, sitting at the next table.
When she entered, I thought: "She is the most beautiful woman on earth." But as she gets closer, I can see a line across her forehead where her wig is not set right.'
The hair on the sides, isn't his hair. He's wearing what is called in non surgical hair replacement, a FULL MEN'S CAP.
They can be very realistic, but in Eddie's case, his 'wig base' shows no scalp. If you want to show scalp, you need a to have a super fine swiss lace base (which is extra money ). Eddie's wig looks like it was bought at a joke shop.
To be fair, McCartney Jr has his mother's colouring and also, by the looks of things, has a lot of body hair which tends to go hand-in-hand with loss of head hair.
But you're right, Paul McCartney has done all sorts of bizarre things with his hair, especially during and since the Mills years. A lot of dye, and perhaps a little more "help" than that nowadays.
What about Ken Barlow aka William Roach? He's 81 , he's got to have had some help keeping the full head of hair, with no grey.:D
To be fair..it looks pretty natural to me...It may come as a shock to many contributors of this thread but some guys retain a thick mane of hair for life...gits!!:o
Watched Pointless tonight and Richard Osman's hair still looks toupee-ish.
Richard and Alexander were on Alan Titmarsh's (sic) show last year and Richard had really thinning hair, very different to how it is on Pointless.
It's also noticeable that Alexander seems to have more hair in new pointless episodes than he does in older ones (showing at present).
The problem isn't that he wore wigs. It's that, particularly in the last 10 years or so of his life, his wigs always looked so cheap and badly fitting! Surely he could have bought himself some decent quality wigs and had them fitted properly...and invested in a good make-up artist while he was at it.

Yes, poor James was unfortunate to inherit his mother`s fine, blonde hair, which never lasts long on a man.Paul`s hair is most definitely not as thick as it once was - whether it is all his is really not at all obvious.
turned on to sky news this morning to be confronted with Tony Blackburn wearing a wig which looked like it had slipped a bit. I have a shaven head & refuse to wear one, however if there was some kind of cream you could smear on your head to make your hair grow back I would buy it

That said, he's 76 and has let himself age naturally, which is refreshing to see in a Hollywood star.
Except for all the plastic surgery he's had, you mean.

Have you seen him recently? He seems to have stopped all that.

Come to think about it it does look like a wig. How long ago do you think he began to lose his hair?

Eddies wigs are flow in from Switzerland.
off topic but whats with the dawn o'porter? didnt she just used to be dawn porter? cringe. Those two really are smug marrieds
I think she added the "O" so we know she has a bit of Irish in her now;)
Scotty and Chekov's toupees had to be seen to be believed. They made Shatner's look positively natural.
Apparently some people seem to think that the most important cover up in showbiz is the one happening on Brucie's scalp.

Judge for yourself. He's 66, remember.
