In comparison the unofficial average for CBB6 was 3.0m and 3.3m officially.
The official viewing figures usually add around 0.3m, so we expect the official average to be 3.6m.
This would put it on par with BB9, which also got 3.6m and would make it the most watched series of BB since then
In other words, it did very very well
very very well might be stretching it a bit, I saw in an article about Channel 5 wanting the show that the viewing figures were up from 3.1 last time to 3.2 this time. An increase but hardly worth getting excited about
it will be interesting to see how the bb11 ratings pan out in the summer
a little bit of effort from endemol & they may beat bb10's
although the decision about the future of the summer show may have already been made by then, who knows. they decide.
The article says that Daniel Marlowe will be "one of" the Executive Producers of BB11. My hasty research would suggest that he has been a Series Editor for 3 years (BB8, BB9, BB10). According to someone on the forum earlier this series, Sharon Powers is on maternity leave and won't be back.

Brilliant. I predict C4 won't get a rating that high again for atleast 3 years.
CBB7 averaged 3.3m on overnight ratings - probably rising to 3.5m (ish) when all the officials come through.. that's a slight improvement on CBB6 and a massive improvement on BB10 obviously.
At least BB9 and BB10 were better! It's the first time they've had a "new" producer since BB8. All those since have either been Sharon Powers or someone else brought back who had done it before.
It's hard to know what kind of difference it will make. I suppose Phil Edgar-Jones is still the boss, we don't really know how much autonomy an Exec Producer will have (things like the casting or the editing changes on CBB7 or the revamped live shows etc.).
Whoever is calling the shots needs to deal with the launch show problem. Something a bit different and please sort out the VT's. They have been so negative in the past few years you end up hating everyone on launch night. BB10 did fine in the ratings for the 12 weeks after but it was all over by the first weekend with ratings plummeting.

I really hope the main series can capitalise on all this goodwill. I have a feeling the quality of CBB HMs was due to accident rather than design however.
Even The Mirror's notorious anti-BB columnist Kevin O'Sullivan said he enjoyed CBB this year, which has to be a first.

Hahaa, yeah right
20:30- Celebrity Big Brother Final: 3.61m (14.2%)
22:05- Celebrity Big Brother Final: 4.04m (19.8%)
Higher for the first show than I expected without +1 figures.

Just under a million up on BB10 and around 300,000 up on CBB6.

ratings for final inc. +1
3.61 + 0.19 3.8 M
4.04 + 0.27 4.3 M
As I expected really. Good.
